Butt out!

You can just tell by that look on her face she's guilty and he might not be saying it but you know he's thinking it. We think we've got people sussed don't we? The way they look or act or just the tone of their voice 'says it all'. If we're not careful we can so easily 'write someone off' because we think 'we know', before we actually find out the facts.
Sometimes we can believe we're 'doing God a favour' by 'sussing that person out' on His behalf. If we're not careful we can stop talking to certain people about Jesus, because we've 'sussed out' they're not interested, so decide 'not to waste our time' on them. We don't even ask God about it!
When someone wrongs us, we believe we have the right to go and 'give 'em a good talking to' making sure everyone knows how great we are and how terrible they are, in the process. We act; we don't ask God about it! If we did we'd hear Him saying this: 'Always be willing to listen and slow to speak' (James 1:19), and this 'No one can know a person's thoughts except that person's own spirit, and no one can know God's thoughts except God's own Spirit' (1 Corinthians 2:11 NLT). So before you go 'writing someone off', ask God about it, only He knows what's best. So butt out and let God in!
