Boss or boring?
'Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God's presence.' EPHESIANS 3:12
You're told about two events happening in church next week. The first is that youth event you've been waiting for; the second is a new prayer meeting. Your reaction is 'YAY!' & 'Uggh!' You think one is going to be 'amerzing', the other is going to be 'boring'! And we both know which we're talking about here! Why is it that when it comes to praying, lots of us think its BORING?
This year one of the most sought after people is Barack Obama. He's made history as the first black American president. Back in January over two million people stood in a freezing cold Washington, DC, to watch the ceremony as he took the oath to become the 44th Commander in chief! People travelled from all over the world to be there. But none had the privilege of chatting with him in person.
But how amazing is this; you can get to speak to the One who is not just in charge of a country but the One who is in charge of the whole planet! The most highly placed person in the entire universe says that you can talk to Him ANYTIME YOU WANT! More than that He says you can go 'boldly and confidently'; because He won't turn you away. In fact just the opposite; He's actually waiting for you! How can that be boring? The creator of the Universe is waiting to speak WITH YOU! So get praying today.
