Your Way Or God's Way?
'He guides the humble in what is right' Psalm 25:9
God can be so frustrating at times! Especially when He won't play ball. Like, you know, you'd be much happier with that 'off-limits' boyfriend.
Like, you know, you'd be great at that job He just won't let you have.
Like, you know, there must be some kind of mix up between the life you've been given and the life you want.
Sure, He's the creator of the universe and knower of all things and wears time around his wrist... but if He'd just consult you now and again. Is that really too much to ask?
When you don't like the way God is leading do you pray, hoping that God will come round to your way of thinking? Praying is more about getting the mind of God rather than the things on our shopping list.
Jesus said, 'I am the vine, you are the branches' (John 15:5 NKJ). Only as you stay connected to Christ will you bear fruit. Just as the life flows from the vine into the branches, so His power flows to you.
In Psalm 25, David wrote, 'God is fair and just; He corrects the misdirected, sends them in the right direction. He gives the rejects His hand, and leads them step by step' (TM).
God will show you what the 'right' direction for you is, if you look for Him. Basically, there are only two ways - God's way or yours. Which way? You choose!
