Use it or lose it
'May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you' Psalm 25:21
It might not seem like a big deal now, but later in life when you realise you don't have it, you'll be wishing you did. It's a powerful force; it can stop you getting sacked from a job; prevent you getting locked up in a cell; it can stop a marriage break-up and can even help out any children you may have. Yes, we're talking integrity again!
'Guard my life ... let me not be put to shame ... May integrity ... protect me.' You can't buy it and you don't get it overnight. It's like a muscle - the more you use it the stronger it gets. It's like a plant: the more you water it, the bigger it grows, the deeper its roots go. Which is why, even though it may not seem like a big deal now, you need to start doing something about it now!
Surf through the Old Testament and you'll bump into Joseph and David. They lived at different times but went through similar experiences - both met a 'strictly off-limits' sexy stunner when they were in a position to say, 'I'll have a piece of that thank you very much!'
Joseph said no. David said yes. Result - things couldn't have ended better for Joseph. And for David, whilst the first child from that relationship died, eventually Solomon was born who went on to become king. Isn't God's grace amazing?!
Wherever you are whatever you're doing, decide to live a life of integrity - it will have a massive effect on your future.
