The camels are coming
'They entered the house ... they....worshiped Him....and gave Him gifts.' Matthew 2:11
Living the Christian life isn't exactly the easiest, but it is definitely the most exciting and best. Take Mary and Joseph. Getting pregnant when you're an unmarried teenager is hard enough today, but back then it was much tougher. But this is what God asked Mary to do.
And there was no fun night at a party involved, with Joseph saying, 'Get your coat love, you've pulled' followed by whey-hey-hey and breakfast! Instead God works one of His fantastic - but freaky - miracles to get her preggers, leaving little innocent Mary to explain that one to her fella, Joe. He, of course, was well confused - well you would be, wouldn't you?
Come on, put yourself in his shoes. His girl, who he hasn't even slept with yet is pregnant, it's a bit weird! It was a mess for Joey boy, until God turns up in his dreams and Joseph chooses to obey God.
Still, it wasn't easy - imagine the gossip, the back-stabbing, the parties they weren't invited to. Then there was that torturous journey, giving birth in the cold and putting your baby in an animal trough - mingin' just doesn't cut it.
Mary and Joseph just went where God placed them and did what He asked. Result: God brought to them everything they needed. They never went out or sent messages asking for gifts on that first Christmas Day. But God sent them wise men on camels loaded down with provisions.
God will provide for you too - the camels are coming - so hang in there
