Never Too Old
'Even in old age they will ... remain vital' Psalm 92:14
If someone were to ask you today to make a list of all the important, vital things you need in life, would old people be on your list? Or do you think the silver-haired brigade bear no relevance to you whatsoever? If you constantly feel like you're being shot down for being young, hanging out with the oldies can be the last thing you want to do. People of an older generation get can get a bad press, thought of as being 'past their sell-by date', no longer important.
But God thinks differently. In the Bible God promises many good things to those who are older, like special God-knowledge and insight into people and life, even inside information about death. And it's not just the youthful God uses to do the spectacular.
Moses was aged 80 when he was used to free thousands caught in slavery. Can you imagine what it would have been like to hang out with this old dude - watching him fight the ruler of Egypt using frogs and bad acne, parting the sea with a big stick! This guy actually saw God face-to-face and is the only person on record as having God as his undertaker (Deut. 34 tells it all).
So show some respect and chill out with the oldies that hang out with God - you might be amazed at the difference it will make to your life.
