Just do it
'You know your way around the faith ... quit studying the subject and start living it!' Colossians 2:7
Build a tepee, come inside, close it tight so we can hide, over the mountain, and around we go, here's my arrow, and here's my bow! Once upon a time we all learnt to tie our shoelaces, perhaps with a little rhyme like that to help us along. But there definitely came a time when we no longer needed to ask 'how?' We just knew, so we stopped asking and just got on with it!
We learn new things all the time, and when we've got it sussed we pack in asking and just do it. Like making a cup of tea, or a cheese toastie!
Being a Christian is about having a relationship with Jesus, getting to know God. What He likes, what He hates (yes, there really are things God hates - check out Proverbs 6). We learn what life's about, where we fit in, the things Christians should and shouldn't do. But there comes a time when we know it. We don't have to ask, 'what's that about?' we just know, and God expects us to just get on with it:
'You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it!' (Col. 2:7 TM) Don't wait around until you know everything about the Christian faith before you live it. That's never going to happen. Simply learn some, then do it. No more sitting around or hiding away.
