I.T. (Infallible Truth)
'He ... presented Himself alive ... by many infallible proofs' Acts 1:3
Thanks to the many scrumptious chocolate companies, Easter has become a choc fest and we enjoy it to the full, stuffing our faces with a variety of chocolate Easter egg delights. You probably know how many eggs you got, how many you've already eaten and whether there's anymore still to come. But do you know why we give each other eggs?
Giving eggs at Easter celebrates new life a way of remembering that Jesus, after dying on the cross, rose from the dead. In doing this, Jesus defeated death and sin and offers us the promise of eternal life: 'What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have Him... Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven-and the future starts now!' (1 Pet. 1:3-4 TM)
This is not just nice idea - this is real, infallible truth! Scientists say that infallible proof comes from getting the same result from repeated experiments and multiple confirmations. Here are five infallible proofs that Jesus rose from the dead.
First, Mary Magdalene encountered Him.
Second, the women at the grave saw Him.
Third, the disciples talked with Him.
Fourth, the apostles met Him.
Fifth, 500 people witnessed Him at one time.
Don't just munch your way through a mountain of chocolate this Easter, discover the amazing truth for your life; 'If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved' (Rom. 10:9).
