GOD KNOWS
''Jesus went ... to a place called Gethsemane...'' Matthew 26:36
Are you praying so hard for something to change and God just isn't answering in the way that you would like Him to? You should know that Jesus has been right there with you - in Gethsemane.
'Jesus went ... to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and He said, "Sit here while I go over there to pray." ... He went on a little farther and bowed with His face to the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine"' (Matthew 26:36-39 NLT).
Whatever trials you go through, you need to know that Jesus has been there, done that, and bought the ripped and blood-stained T-shirt. He's been there; beyond any human pain and struggle we've been through or can even think of.
Jesus knew that soon He would be arrested and crucified. He was praying for another way because He could see the suffering ahead. But Jesus knew that however hard it was at that moment, God's way was the way that would work all things for good.
What now?
To want God's will means having faith in who He is. Check out Joyce Meyer's 'Trusting God When You Don't Understand.' It's a powerful message of faith, trust and God's transformation. (kewego.com/video/iLyROoafIoTN.html)
