'I don't care anymore! I just wanna get a baby inside me and then I'll be set. I'll get my own house and just live off my benefits. I won't have to do anything else.' 'I tried to do what my mum and dad say but I always manage to be their "little nightmare", so I'm just gonna give up.' 'My teachers say I'll never get any decent qualifications so makes me think what's the point of even trying ... Stuff it.'
Giving up on ourselves can stem from listening to the negative words spoken against us. Hopes and dreams can shatter to pieces on the sharp rocks of harsh words. There's someone, though, who has monumental faith in you and wants to speak better words over you.
He has anchored those hopes and dreams deep in your soul. He's not in the business of making hopeless cases; He creates masterpieces. You're valuable to Him and are made for great things. To believe and hope in this, we have to have faith in Him and who He says He is. Jesus said, '... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full' (John 10:10 NIV).

Ask your Dad in heaven about your hopes and dreams. Write down or draw anything He gives or reveals to you.
