'...Don't say, "I'm too young" .... go wherever I send you...' Jeremiah 1:7
God could have chosen to do His work any way He wanted, but He chose to use dirt-and-muck people. People like Moses, Isaiah and Jeremiah ... and you!
God asked Moses, who to the world at the time was a 'nobody' - to go and give orders to the biggest 'somebody' of the day, the ruler of Egypt. God asked Isaiah, a polished city gent, to volunteer for an important mission which would include preaching naked for three years! And God asked Jeremiah, a young lad, to go speak to a bunch of rebels and risk getting his head kicked in.
Moses said, 'I won't', Isaiah said, 'Woe is me' and Jeremiah said, 'I can't.' But when God chose to use people to share in His great work, He knew He would also supply, tailor made training courses to suit each individual's need. So old Mo, Isaiah, and Jeremiah received hands-on support, packed full of encouragement.
God turned their 'I won'ts' into 'I wills', their 'I can'ts' into 'I cans' their 'Please choose someone else!' into 'Pick me! Pick me!'
Will you let God do the same for you?
What now? What stuff does God ask you to do that makes you say, 'I can't' or 'I won't'? Write a letter to God, asking Him to teach you to trust Him, even if that seems impossible.
