Vision (1)
'Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.' HABAKKUK 2:3
Visions aren't for the immature, the impatient, or people who like life comfy and cosy; so if you still like your dummy, or if you can't get out from under that duvet, this isn't for you; but if you like adventure you've come to the right place!
Listen: In the early stages of pregnancy a baby is easier to lose. It's the same when God gives you vision; you need to protect it. The enemy tried to destroy Moses and Jesus before they reached their second birthday. Why? He feared what they would become and he fears you too! When a woman is pregnant, she has to cut out things that could harm the baby; like smoking and alcohol. To see your vision become a reality will mean daring to be different, even radical; not hanging out with the neggy crowd and getting your priorities straight. Sometimes you need to choose your purpose over your popularity!
If you think fulfilling a vision is easy, check the price tag! Like childbirth, it's hard work, it's painful. So before you make any snap decisions, or mess around with God's purpose for your life, ask yourself, 'Can I see this through to the end? Esther's vision meant putting her life on the line and saying, 'If I die, I die' (Esther 4:16 NCV). Did she die? No, but she had to be willing to. Are you?
