“A worthless person, a wicked man,
Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,
Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet,
Who points with his fingers;
Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,
Who spreads strife.
Therefore his calamity will come suddenly;
Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.” (Proverbs 6:12-15 NASB1995)
The picture the Lord is giving me here is of someone who is morally corrupt, foolish, self-indulgent, self-pitying, self-centered, immoral, and irresponsible. They do not give honor to God and/or to spouse and to the covenant relationships which were designed by God and are to be between God and his people, and between husband and wife. For they are the wicked who devise evil on their beds and who rule their own lives and do what they want, regardless of right and wrong, and regardless of breaking covenants.
They don’t want anyone correcting them or counseling them against doing wrong and of their need to do what is right. And if they feel anyone is challenging their chosen lifestyles and is encouraging them to forsake evil and to do what is right, out of their prideful hearts they may respond to such counsel with anger, disrespect, rebellion, spite, and the continuation of the dishonoring of the marriage bed and of the covenant relationship that they claim that they have between them and God, which they do not keep.
So, instead of responding to a request, to stop doing evil and to begin doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord, with genuine repentance and a changed life, they get angry, resentful, bitter, and spiteful, and they end up doing the opposite of good out of pure rebellion, pride, and spite, which is very childish and irresponsible, plus it is hate. And so they continue to live in rebellion against the covenants of marriage between man and woman and in rebellion against the covenant of marriage between them and God, that they claim.
In essence, these are people who stomp on the heart of God and of spouse, who dishonor their covenant commitments, who refuse to be loyal and devoted and faithful to God and to spouse. And if confronted, they spit on those covenants and they treat them with disdain, spite, and anger, rather than repent of their wicked ways and commit to now doing what is loving and faithful, showing honor, value, and respect to both God and spouse. They may give lip service to loyalty, at times, but it does not hold water.
For, by nature, these people are liars, deceivers, tricksters, manipulators, who make lying and deceiving their practice and for whom honesty, loyalty and devotion are not what they practice. But they are good at lying and at deceiving and at appearing one way outwardly while they live the opposite behind closed doors when no one else is looking. And if they feel challenged, they may spread lies about the ones who are lovingly telling them the truth that they need to hear, so that others will think evil of someone who is good.
But Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).

Your bond is broken with your Lord and Savior
And your testimony is separate from Him.
Your words not matching your actions today.
Repent of your sin and bow down and pray.
Live what you testify in truth always.
Purity’s lacking in your life and witness,
For you profess one thing, but other you do.
Not moral, spiritual. Still of the flesh.
Not living in truth to what you confess.
Lying about it puts you in a mess.
Living a lie is your practice, ‘tis true of you.
Masquerade righteousness – none of it true.
Your heart is not given to your Lord God.
Because of how you live, you are a fraud.
Turn from your sin and give your life to God.
