God's grace and mercy are both expressions of God's love (Eph 2:4), but God's mercy is greater than His grace.
God's mercy reaches into situations which are unworthy of grace (Romans 5:8)
God's gift of grace is for His children, through faith (Eph 2:8), but God's mercy reaches further to the sinner and the stranger (Luke 10:37, Romans 5:8).
God's mercy triumphs over judgement (James 2:13)
God's mercy is greater than sacrifice, including Christ's sacrifice on the cross (Matt 9:13)
Without God's mercy, there is no grace, no being born again and no hope (1 Peter 1:3, Titus 3:5)
God's mercy is "older" than His grace (Psalm 25:6-9)
The age of grace will end eventually, but God's mercy never ends (Lam 3:22-23)
God's mercy is with us no matter where we go, what we do, how far we fall or how bad the situation (Psalm 23:6, Luke 15:11-32)
God's mercy depends entirely upon God and not us (Rom 9:16)
