Why Love God more than Anyone?
Mat 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
Mat 10:37 HE THAT LOVETH FATHER OR MOTHER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME: AND HE THAT LOVETH SON OR DAUGHTER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME.
Does the lord God have some kind of complex, that he demands us to love him more than anyone of our own household, or anyone? The lord demands to us love every one, but the only way we can love every one is by first loving God more than all of them. Man's natural humanistic love is bankrupted as it will only love a person as long as that person he loves, loves him back in return. Once that person stops loving in return, than both people stop loving each other. The Love of God which God is, loves every one without expecting anything in return. Can you imagine if every marriage had this kind of love? There would be no divorces because love never fails!!!
The bible tells us that, “THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN SHED ABROAD INTO OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHICH WAS GIVEN UNTO US” (Romans 5:5)
We don't take this love and use it ourselves to love others. We don't use God, he uses us. It is God himself who is the one who loves others through us, and we get to experience this love our self's as he does. There is no greater way to experience God in what he sees, feels, hears then to let the Lord live his life through us, and all we have to do is yield our bodies as a living sacrifice unto him, which is our spiritual form of worship.
We know from the scriptures that “God is light”, “God is "a consuming fire”, and “God is love” When the Lord God “SHEDS” his “LOVE” into our hearts, he is also shedding his “LIGHT”, and his “CONSUMING FIRE” all at the same time. Our hearts are simply “REFLECTORS” of these things. We reflect the love of God, his light, and his Glory (consuming fire)
As Mary, the mother of Jesus once said, “MY SOUL DOETH MAGNIFY THE LORD” (Luke 1:46)
To "magnify" is to "make great, to elevate" All high power stereo amplifiers are rated in how well they faithfully magnify the exact original signal without adding any kind of distortion. The soul of man is to magnify the Lord with out adding any kind of opinions, or flesh related distortion to the original. If we do, then we are not a faithful magnifier.
The Apostle Paul tells us....
Eph 5:13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,
Eph 5:14 FOR ANYTHING THAT BECOMES VISIBLE IS LIGHT. Therefore it says, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
When a person is given light, he becomes visible, and the thing that became visible has now become a light source because it is reflecting it!!! No wonder Paul said, AWAKE, O SLEEPER, AND ARISE FROM THE DEAD, AND CHRIST WILL SHINE ON YOU."
When Christ shines on you, that light has become visible to all, because that person is now reflecting that light, love, and Glory of God!!!! That person is not that light, but only reflecting that light which is God Almighty. Every one around you will notice it, and you to will also notice it yourself!!! There is no way God can be shinning his light, love, and Glory on you, and you not know it.
What this does is it takes all of our looks, smarts, age, talent and throws it right out the window, because the only thing that matters is Christ in us shinning through us.
