Yes God created days , weeks and months and years.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
I don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating Christmas even with the giving of gifts so long as Christmas is still celebrated in the understanding of what it's all about in the first place the birth of Jesus.
For those that want to hang on the pagan holiday I have this to say. Did the pagans create that day? Did the pagans create the week did the pagans create the month or the year? If they did create those moments then they have a right to claim that particular day. But since they did not create that day nor did they create any day, so the pagans themselves are thieves to claim Christmas as some special day for themselves. Just as much as the gay population or the alphabet population wants to claim June as their month, as if they actually owned it that month which they don't. So my thinking is what a celebrate Christmas to heck with those pagans thieves they are we're taking back what belongs to God
Now as far as the commercialization of Christmas, that in itself the whole concept of making the best money is no better than the money lenders in the temple. Because people who are trying to make profit out of something that's special for others should be shot far as I'm concerned. Or at least hang them by there toes and make him eat broccoli, LOL.
I have more stuff, which I will add later.
But concerning establishing feast to other god's and christianizing it, God is against that, in the bible God was always against feasts to other god's, which one god was Baal.
And purity is without mixture.
Deu 12:30
(30) Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
Just because God created the days, and so on, does not make feasts to other gods right, nor does it make mixture right, nor does it make Christianizing these things right.
God is a jealous God, and will share is glory with nothing, nor men, or other gods, we need to reverence him and fear him, and be careful we do things his way, but that reverence is not strong today.
And when God established feasts, it was not done in a careless way, such as the pagan feasts, and not done with any mixture, it was pure, holy, and 100% right.
