Why Do You Think God Put The Tree of "Life" in Eden?

"You can eat all the fruit you want from all other trees but leave that tree alone."

Did God want them to eat from the tree? There's a reason to everything and this led to many humans dying for God and Jesus without seeing them - that showed how much they loved and trusted God.

The whole reason of this existence is for God to test us. God could not punish without reason. So He created the tree that Adam and Eve ate from, with their disobedience, He made them leave the garden but never gave up on them.

Perhaps if they had resisted eating from the tree and expressed no reason to ever eat from it - God would have brought true paradise to Earth then and there.

Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son for God and God sacrificed His son for us.

Just my thoughts- Jesus was that Tree of Life and partaking of eternal life was placed right there for man to enjoy.
I agree 100% that our lives (and Adam's) are but a testing place to see where our hearts really want to be- with God or away from His Glory.
God had already made provision for man though he did not see it (Rev 13:8) and had he chosen the Tree of Life instead of that forbidden fruit we would have come along later and blown it anyway- LOL.

I personally think God knew exactly what Adam and Eve would do, but it was all part of His plan. It is not that He wanted them to eat of the wrong tree, but just that He knew that they would be deceived.

God had a much bigger plan than putting paradise on earth for the adamic creation. He wanted a true paradise for the "planting of the Lord" which is Christ.

How could one know the awesomeness of God's forgiveness, grace, and mercy. These are some of the traits of God's essence which is love. To experience God's forgiveness, grace and mercy there needs to be a reason.:wink:
