jiggyfly: Surely you don't think that membership to a religious organization is what makes you part of the body of Christ?
1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co 12:19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
Eph 4:11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,
Eph 4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
Col 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
If a collection of believers is a "religious organization" - then, yes I do believe it.
