I'm a better Christian now that I'm not one. I barely judge people anymore, I put up with people and their bad behavior better, I forgive others easily now, I listen to people on their terms, I am more interested in people & their issues, and theres other things I am able to do now.

for me that is opposite, i never cared about orphans before I never cared about widows before, someone wanted me to help them before I would look for a reason not to,

now that has all changed because God has changed my heart

1. What is wrong with judging people? You stick your head in the ground like an ostrich? People ARE GOING TO AN ETERNITY IN HELL. You hate people. Prov 27:6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted but an enemy multiplies kisses.
2. You don't discipline children? You are ok with a wicked person dating your daughter? You don't care about your daughter?
3. Of what? Do you love your enemy?
4. IE You don't care about helping them. People who remain wicked are en route to an eternal separation from God.
5. People are not complicated. There are two kinds of people. Selfish and selfless. You are interested in someone who is full of themselves? The devil is 100% full of himself. We are the devils children when we are full of pride. You are not a better person when you make time to entertain wicked / selfish people's thoughts, with them not knowing you are a Christian who completely disagrees with their lifestyle choice. You are just making your ears a dumpster for their rubbish.

I see so much hate for others and self righteousness from you in your post. You know scripture. You know better. You have no excuse. These people you think are your friends now will not be impressed with you when they land up in hell, with you. What kind of friend are you to them? You are like the worst possible friend they can have.

Why a Christian? For me it is my life.

I tend to embrace Peter's response to Jesus when he asked his closest followers if they would also leave because he had spoken some very hard words which caused many to leave Him:

"Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life." John 6:68

Each morning I have my special time with the Lord. I look forward to that time because it is when I am the most comfortable of all the times I have.

Other times to which I look forward are the times assembling together with others who love God. That includes of course my times with brethren on the Internet forums. It certainly includes also my friend @Born Again 2004 in spite of our sometimes disagreements on things. It also includes even @cmd73 who at times works here at being a thorn in our flesh. He does not realize what true believers have found... If he really did he would be crying out to God for forgiveness instead of walking through here as he does. [Let us continue to pray that God will open His heart and let him see...]

So then I have come to love God more than anything. This has come from seeking His kingdom and his righteous first. Indeed, where else could I go, but to Him?

Do we not get enjoyment while here in the veil of flesh? Yes! But without Him there would be no real joy in the midst of the strife and pain that surrounds us. and even touches us personally in our flesh and in our families and friends.

Before I touched Jesus and was touched by Him back in 1976 all of my good times were fleeting and not enduring. There was happiness but no real joy. That has changed. An unbeliever may say he has a kind of joy, but he does know what we mean when we say it he cannot really understand what is until he has also received it in his heart.

Lot's wife chose to look back apparently with longing for what she had had before leaving Sodom The children of Israel (Jacob) looked back at what they had had before leaving Egypt. While I do remember the happier moments of those earlier times before Jesus became first, as I have moved on and been moved on toward God I cannot see any good reason for ever wanting to return to the vomit of my life without Life from before I started to really walk with Him...

This is my Life. This is what I Live for...

All unbelievers are dead. If a person really is an atheist then he is dead... dead in the eyes of God but until time runs out for such people Hope remains. Hope remains, but until such a person takes hold of the Hope and immerses himself in it he remains dead.

Is an unbeliever or an atheist someone? Of course he is, but all he has is limited amount of time which God has allowed him. Because of such people and because of people who knew better but failed walk in the right direction, "Jesus wept".

If you are happy in this world alone, then enjoy it while you and if you can... but as natural death approaches as it does for all of us you may decide you want to partake of the mercy and grace of God. Hopefully you will do this before it is too late. We, most of us, do not know how much time remains for us. Solomon wrote the following words with regard to the carnal man without God:

"Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun." Ecc 8:15

Yes, "eat, drink and be merry" while you can and if you can. The prodigal son did that and was allowed the time to go back to his father. But some, like Esau, had gone too far and could not find their way back for there was no long a place of repentance for them.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;" Ecc 3:1-2

When is the time for your flesh to die? God alone knows... so be careful.

No, my friend, failing to believe in the end will simply leave you dead in the eyes of God while you are here, whether your times to you are good or not. When your time is finished then it is finished and as I believe it you simply are no more [on that last phrase many people will disagree with me.]

If nothing else, how does one deny the most famous man in all of recorded history, here and abroad!
To deny this is to deny the very date that you live, today in the year 2018, the date on your Calendar, gives witness to the fact that Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, lived on this earth some 2000 + years ago, A.D., anno domini, in the year of our Lord!
