Whose Physical Standard Are You Chasing?

There is a thin line between taking care of yourself and idolizing your body--placing hope, trust, and identity in physical appearance. For many of us, the world has perverted our perspective of what beauty really is. Look deeper to discover whose standard of beauty is right and worth pursuing. It's time to redefine beauty, age gracefully and with dignity, and look to God for the standard of excellence. We are beautiful because we are His creation and workmanship. Do not fall prey to the media's influence and messages. The products that promise instant beauty and lasting health are over-rated. Don't let fear of aging distort your view of God's design. He does perfect work.

I only chase after my own standard.

Since being a size 10, (for now; but losing. My goal: back to a size 7-8), I have to say I do love plus-size models and how they look. I think they are easier to go by their standards than the skeleton-type look of other models.
