Who will enter God's Kingdom?

Those who are humble (like little children) (Matthew 18:3), forgive others from their heart (Matthew 18:35), take care of the needy (Matthew 25:34-36), listen to the words of God and act on them (Matt 7:21-24); and keep their faith (Ezekiel 18:21) will enter God’s Kingdom. Unfortunately, many search the Scriptures because they think that in them they have eternal life; and refuse to come to Jesus, who is source of eternal life (John 5:39-40). To come to Jesus is to love Him; and to love Him is to keep His commandments (John 14:23-24). His commandment is to love one another the way He loves us (John 12:15). He loved us by staying faithful to the covenant He made with us and freeing us from sin; although we were unfaithful to Him and betrayed Him; and although it involved acceptance of humiliation of infinite magnitude and the most agonizing death.

To Arunangelo: Who will enter God's kingdom?

That is a far more interesting question than you might think! To know who will enter, it is helpful to know what God's kingdom is, would you not agree, then you can figure out who will enter it!
Some think, the kingdom of God is in your heart!
Some think, the kingdom of God is in heaven!
Some think, the kingdom of God will be on earth when Jesus returns to rule mankind for 1000 years! (Rev 20:6, NIV: "they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.")
Can they all be right? Take a careful look at what the Bible reveals.
Notice what Revelation 5:9, 10, NIV says, talking about Jesus, "with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."
Now if all God fearing people go to heaven when they die, who are these who rule with Jesus over the earth and more importantly, WHO ARE THEY RULING OVER, and do they enter or live under God's kingdom ALIVE, living on the earth!

When Jesus comes, does he not destroy all the wicked and only preserve the righteous. Psalms 37:10, 11, NIV clearly states: "A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. 11 But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace." Psalms 37:28, 29, NIV says: "For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected for ever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off; 29 the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it for ever."

So, Who will enter Gods Kingdom? Is it those who have died and gone to heaven and become co-rulers with Jesus over the earth, and those who are left alive and live in 'great peace' during Jesus' 1000 year kingdom rule on the earth? As Jesus said at Matthew 5:5, NIV, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth!"
That looks like what the Bible says to me!

Kingdom of Heaven is where the will of God is fully accepted. It is, therefore Heaven. But it is also in the heart of those who have unconditinally accepted the will of God and are still living on earth.

Eph 2:8 For by such grace you have been saved through faith. This does not come from you; it is the gift of God
Eph 2:9 and not the result of works, lest anyone boast.

If you carefully look in the bible for example, Daniel 2:44, this clearly describes what the kingdom of God on earth will be, Daniel starts of by referring to the kings or governments that are ruling the earth during the last days before Christ returns, (NIV) "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure for ever." This kingdom on earth will destroy all human governmental authorities and directly rule over the earth with Jesus Christ as its king at Armageddon. Psalm 110:5, NIV says: "The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath." This kingdom will then rule over the earth. (Revelation 5:10; 20:6) See slso (Psalms 37:10, 11, 28, 29)

Do you mean once Jesus Christ returns as king of his kingdom, people who survive Armageddon and pledge their allegiance to his authority, can in a way, have God's kingdom in their heart! But that could not be referring to the kingdom of heaven where God and the angels dwell, could it?

We need to realize that our will may not line up with His will. But we must strive to seek His will over our lives because the steps that He ordered for our lives have been blessed by His walk already.

God's Kingdom is an eternal Kingdom and in eternity there is no time. Therefore yesterday, today and tomorrow are the same.

Very good point Arunangelo, the Hebrew word olam and the Greek words aion and aionios usually translated as eternal or eternity have much more to do with quality than quanity, with realm rather than time. For ever and ever is a very poor translation of olam and aion. But few seem to apply it consistently throughout the scriptures.:wink:
