There a couple of times the disciples faced storms in the Bible.

We see one of these storms recorded in Matt 8:27; Mark 4:41; Luke 8:25;
The disciples were terrified of the waves coming into the boat. Jesus was asleep in the back of the boat with his head on a cushion.
I wonder sometimes if they were afraid to wake him up. Maybe he will be angry if we wake Him up? Eventually they wake him up.
He asks "Where is your faith?" then He says "Peace, be still"
The disciples are amazed that the wind and waves obey this man.

I wonder sometimes... are we amazed by Jesus? Do we doubt His power?
When the storms of life come. Whatever they may be. Jesus is in the boat with you. He is probably relaxed and calm about things.
Are you afraid to wake him up? Are you afraid he will be angry with you for telling Him your problems and concerns?
Do you think your storm is bigger than Jesus can handle? Are you thinking, you just don't know what I've done, the trouble I'm in.
Jesus knows. God loves to show us How he controls things to show His love for us.
Does Jesus have any less power today to handle the trials and troubles of your life than he did 2000 years ago over the wind and the waves?
Who is this man, that even the wind and waves obey him? He is Lord. We are His children. The thing about being in a kingdom...
A kingdom has to have a king. Will need to yield our will to His in order for Him to truly reign in our lives.

Sometimes Jesus doesn't calm the storm, He simply calms the child. There may be others in the boat with you. They may not know Jesus.
Is it possible they could see Jesus in you? Is it possible you can have peace in the storm when others don't? Do you trust Jesus to take
care of your storm?

It is difficult to not have seen Jesus up close and personal and believe. But, many of those who saw did not believe.
We are a culture of "seeing is believing" and it comes hard for many. It took being blinded for Paul to believe, Thomas had to touch the wounds of Jesus to believe.
But we have help, it is faith, not of our manufacturing but a gift from God. That faith grows by hearing the word of God.
John 20:29....we are blessed!
