Who is Jesus?
In faith we know that Jesus is God (John 8:58) in human form; because in Him we see the Spirit of God-which is pure love. He expressed His love by sacrificing His life, in order to compensate for the sins (Matthew 26:28) we committed against Him. He is the love which sends our inner being into ecstasy, the compassion that the eyes of a desperately needy person generates in us, and the mercy and forgiveness we show towards those who hurt us. We can accept Him and find peace by living His life. We can live His life by accepting Him as the only desire of our heart.

I love this topic...I have scripture to help out also...

I do happen to know, however, that the Jehovah's witnesses don't accept Jesus as God, they accept Him as "a god" yes, lower case "g"...this is proven in John 1:1 of the "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures" printed by the watchtower society...

But anywho: back to the topic at hand...hope this helps equip all of you out there spreading the Truth...

Colossians 1:19-20
It says that "For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross" (NLT-*trusted translation, see bible gateway, linked on this home page...this is what I will quote all of this from tonight)

John 1:1
"In the begining was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God"

Then goes on in John 1:14 to say:
"So the Word became human and made His home among us..."

(thanks for the JOhn 8:58!! I knew that was in there but REALLY had a hard time finding it again!! can't forget now!)

Now if you go back to the old testament, the prophecies of Jesus, *and I am sure I missed some* but a couple that I use because they make clear sense is:

Isaiah 9:6
"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace." (underline and bold added by me to stress importance...this is what Jehovah's witnesses can't explain or grasp...it contradicts the word changing of John 1:1 for them)

And the familiar Isaiah 7:14
"...She will give birth to a son and will call Him Immanuel (which means "God with us")."

Wow, I love this topic so much and appreciate you all's patience in reading this and I truly hope you pray about the understanding of this and go out and use it as you witness to the nations...making disciples of the one true God in the name of Jesus...

The oher thing people might bring up is "who was Jesus talking to when He prayed"

This is a tuffy to explain, but hear me out on MY understanding...still studying, so bear with me...
Since God in all His fullness was please to "live" in Christ, he was "using" flesh in the form of Jesus...so with that being said, that flesh can't be divine, but the Spirit within was divine...so as that spirit was one with God, It was showing us through Jesus (flesh) so we could see, the expectation and the example of how we are to be with our relationship with God in the spirit and in truth...with this being said we have to look in scripture to verify it's validity...and it is assuredly valid because it says iin John 1:12..."but to all who believed in Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God"...well with that spirit IN Jesus (flesh)...he was called the "son" of God...because He was truly the first believer...and spread the Gospel of His own life fulfilling prophecy...in parables of course...that was prophesied too...

This says nothing about the Father being greater than the Son, Jesus.

John 1:1-5
1^(A) In the beginning was^(B) the Word, and^(C) the Word was with God, and^(D) the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3^(E) All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4^(F) In him was life,^[a] and^(G) the life was the light of men. 5^(H) The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Jesus is only referred to as the Son of God one time prior to the recording of the New Testament.

Daniel 3:25
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. KJV (King James Version)

In the NIV he is referred to about 48 times as the Son of God. The NIV does not give any Old Testament reference to the Son of God. In an obvious reference to the Son of God, he is spoken of as the Word as being in the beginning with God.

John 1:1-2
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.

You say "The Father is savoir of all men". Please tell me that was a typo only.

1 Timothy 4:10
For to this end we toil and strive,^[a] because we have our hope set on the living God,^(A) who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

That would be Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD. Remember the Cross don't you?
