On a previous thread I started (that is now closed, to the benefit og all I think! :) ) It ended with someone saying (and this is not an exact quote)

That if everyone were given a second chance after death to accept Christ, that we would have serial killers and Rapists in heaven with those that enter through Christ.

What I don't understand about this is that I thought ANYONE could enter the kingdom of heaven. So isn't it concievable that even a Serial Killer could enter the Kingdom of Heaven, even with what he has done, If he repents and is Born again?

LUKE 23
39.One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"

40.But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? 41.We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."

42.Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[f]"

43.Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

Who CAN enter the Kingdom? I can only answer, if God were to regard mans iniquity, not one of us would enter.

Mic 7:18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Mic 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Rom 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Joh 21:20 Peter turned and saw Jesus' favorite disciple, [Judas] following them. He was the same one who had sat next to Jesus at the meal and had asked, "Lord, who is going to betray you?"
Joh 21:21 When Peter saw that disciple, he asked Jesus, "Lord, what about him?"
Joh 21:22 Jesus answered, "What is it to you, if I want him to live until I return? You must follow me."

1Co 13:9 We don't know everything, and our prophecies are not complete.
1Co 13:10 But what is perfect will someday appear, and what isn't perfect will then disappear.
1Co 13:11 When we were children, we thought and reasoned as children do. But when we grew up, we quit our childish ways.
1Co 13:12 Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror. Later we will see him face to face. We don't know everything, but then we will, just as God completely understands us.
1Co 13:13 For now there are faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love.

Forgiving Lord/God

Ex. 34:6c-7b (KJV) - The LORD, The LORD God, merciful & gracious, longsuffering, & abundant in goodness & truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity & transgression & sin

part of Num. 14:18 (KJV) - The LORD is longsuffering, & of great mercy, forgiving iniquity & transgression

Ne 9:17d-e (combo of CJB & NLT) - But because you are a God of forgiveness, merciful, full of compassion, slow to grow angry & full of grace, unfailing love and mercy. You did not abandon them.

Da 9:9 (GNT) - You are merciful & forgiving, although we have rebelled against you.

Isa 55:7 (Darby) -
Let the wicked abandon their way of life
and the evil their way of thinking.
Let them come back to God, who is merciful,
come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness

And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Anybody who calls on Jesus and asks Him to forgive their sins will be saved irregardess of what they did previously in their life. After all, even the apostle Paul was a persecuter of the church before he was converted. He threw christians into prison and actually stoned others to death. Wich would make him a mass murderer befor his conversion. As far as the topic of whether people will get a second chance to recieve Jesus in the next life: That's a big subject and I don't have time to get into it right now, but I can say that I don't think that too many people will get a second chance. But I do believe that the Lord will give everybody a first chance, even if that chance comes in the next life. God is loving and merciful and He would rather have everybody to be saved and to come to the acknowlegding of the truth. So, if they never had a chance in this life to know or hear about Jesus, God will give them a chance in the next life. But for those who did have a chance to hear about Jesus and His salvation and grace and love in this life, but rejected it, there's plenty of scriptures to indicate that these kinds of people will face the harshest and severest punishments of God in the next life. That's
why I believe that those who never had a chance to hear about or recieve Jesus in this life, will get their first chance in the next, but that those who did have a chance to hear about Jesus, but rejected Him, and His love, and forgiveness will not get a second chance in the next.

All repentant born again sinners can enter heaven regardless of the magnitude, quantity and severity of their sins. The door for repentance and salvation is open till the last breath of our lives - the thief hung on the cross with Jesus and saved in his dying moments amply demonstrates that.

Scripture is paramount in the redemption of men. Without such revelation we would all be lost.

I say that because tonight we celebrated the ministry of Charles Wesley, to mark 300 years since his birth and the Revival he produced with his preaching and hymns. We sang the following Wesley hymn which may relate to this thread.

Come sinners to the gospel feast, let every soul be Jesu's guest:
You need not one be left behind, for God has bidden all mankind.

Sent by my Lord on you I Call, the invitation is to all:
Come all the world, come sinner, thou, all things in Christ are ready now.

And it went on............

I believe these words embrace the Christian message.......All may come.....Yes none are beyond the Salvation God has made possible in Jesus.

"There is none righteous, no not one" Rom 3 But all my come.......God has provided for all............That includes me..........and you...

Amen! "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me. And him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me, and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me hath everlasting life, and shall not come inmto condemnation; but is passed from death unto ife." --Jesus.

The second we ask Jesus to come into our lives, forgive us for our sins, and accept His attonement for our sins, we are automatically translated from death unto life and we will never die and death will have no power over us. This is true for all men rergardless of their race, creed, nationality, or condition.

"Whosoever will, let him drink of the water of life freely."
