Where was God on September 11?

Where was God on September 11?

On September 11, 2001, God was exactly where He always is – in Heaven in total control of everything that happens in the universe. Why, then, would a good and loving God allow such a tragedy to happen? This is a more difficult question to answer. First, we must remember, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9). It is impossible for finite human beings to understand the ways of an infinite God (Romans 11:33-35). Second, we must realize that God is not responsible for the wicked acts of evil men. The Bible tells us that humanity is desperately wicked and sinful (Romans 3:10-18, 23). God allows human beings to commit sin for His own reasons and to fulfill His own purposes. Sometimes we think we understand why God is doing something, only to find out later that it was for a different purpose than we originally thought.

God looks at things from an eternal perspective. We look at things from an earthly perspective. Why did God put man on earth, knowing that Adam and Eve would sin and therefore bring evil, death, and suffering on all mankind? Why didn’t He just create us all and leave us in Heaven where we would be perfect and without suffering? It must be remembered that the purpose for all creation and all creatures is to glorify God. God is glorified when His nature and attributes are on display. If there were no sin, God would have no opportunity to display His justice and wrath as He punishes sin. Nor would He have the opportunity to show His grace, His mercy, and His love to undeserving creatures. The ultimate display of God’s grace was at the Cross where Jesus died for our sins. Here was unselfishness and obedience displayed in His Son who knew no sin but was “made sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). This was all to the “praise of His glory” (Ephesians 1:14).

When thinking of September 11, we tend to forget the thousands of miracles that occurred on that day. Hundreds of people were able to flee the buildings just in the nick of time. A small handful of firemen and one civilian survived in a tiny space in a stairwell as the one of the towers collapsed around them. The passengers on Flight 93 defeating the terrorists was a miracle in and of itself. Yes, September 11 was a terrible day. Sin reared its ugly head and caused great devastation. However, God is still in control. His sovereignty is never to be doubted. Could God have prevented what happened on September 11? Of course He could, but He chose to allow the events to unfold exactly as they did. He prevented that day from being as bad as it could have been. Since September 11, how many lives have been changed for the better? How many people have placed their faith in Christ for salvation as a result of what happened? The words of Romans 8:28 should always be in our minds when we think of 9-11, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, and are called according to His purpose.”

I agree 100%. Let us also remember that God wads told (by the secularists and liberals) that He was not welcome in our schools, our government building and our nation as a whole.

THE WRATH of GOD has NOT started! WE are living in the days of sorrow!
God has nothing to do with these things!
Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
Luk 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart....

...and lean not on your own understanding.

I'm going to post a very controversial sentence:

Everyone who died in September 11th needed to die at that specific time.

---

The bad:

The wicked men who threw away their own lives to murder others -- they deserved to die horribly and we almost all easily accept that.

It is good that they died doing something so horrible that it made many Muslims who would not have been shaken otherwise to start asking questions about their false and deceptive "faith." I know more than one American former-Muslim who came to the Lord because of September 11th.

We trust that God is Just easily when bad men meet messy ends. But in order for someone to do something horrible that makes you think "gee...am I like that guy?" ... someone has to have something horrible done to them.

We also know that some of the victims of September 11th did not identify themselves as believers in life. I am not willing to say that any specific unbeliever was Satanic or unsaved. I know a *lot* of people who publicly identify by the religions of their families while secretly accepting Jesus.

I do know that if any victim of September 11th was truly unreachable and wicked, then God was merciful to the rest of us by taking that person out of the picture before he or she could commit any more sin or do any more damage to others. Such people should not concern us anymore in death than the hijackers.

---

The good:

But I kinda like to think the victims were all people who found Jesus in those last moments. Nevertheless...the believers...the good men, the good women, and the good children who died in fire and stone and vaporized steel -- they needed to meet death right then too.

It is harder for us to accept this as Just, but God is Sovereign and His timing is perfect. We think only about their fear or their pain or our pain at their "loss". We forget that God is involved.

The believing victims of September 11th were greatly loved people that God gathered to His bosom all at once, letting them all come home "early" by our standards.

He's really not all that picky about just how His beloved children get home, because He's planning to raise the dead and restore all Creation anyway. Everything they experienced in those burning towers is rendered so completely moot by experiencing Heaven that it becomes no worse than if a giggling child jumped out from behind a curtain and yelled "boo!" If we had any brains, we'd be happy for them.

Sure, from our perspective they still had lives to lead and we who are left miss them greatly. But we should not speak of time "lost". Nothing is lost to a believer. What is a few years of absence stacked against an eternity of reunion and communion and joy?

---

The rest:

Not one among the victims was innocent, and not all of them were believers. But was every unbeliever who died in September 11th ready for an eternity in Hell?

I cannot know that, and I am not writing to offend the families of other faiths who are separated from loved ones because of this event by suggesting that.

I only know that God is Just -- so if He chose to put any undecided people to sleep, He only did so out of Mercy and Love -- to keep them from falling deeper into sin, to allow them rest until they are resurrected into the spectacular wonders of the Last Days. For it is given to men once to die and then the Judgment.

In those final days, the miracles directly witnessed will sway the last few stragglers. Anyone stubborn enough to deny Christ after they *see* Him return in triumph with the Host in the clouds is finally and solidly ready for his or her fate in that choice.

---

God is Sovereign and Just. If you *know* that much, really know it, then it answers every question you'll ever have. It answers a lot of them with "therefore this will all make a lot more sense...later," but it does answer them.

-------------------------------------------------

However ... If we want to live our remaining days in a world with fewer such galvanizing harsh moments that bring us abruptly to the end of ourselves, then we should remember that we have the keys.

What have we bound?
What do we leave running loose?

If I could ask those 19 men who were directly involved in September 11th ONE question, it would be:

"Did anyone ever approach you about Jesus and tell you the Good News of how He died for you and all of us?"

Because I can't help but consider...those men came with plans to strike a blow at a "godless infidel nation." Did anyone ever try to disprove the nature of their target?

Recently I was standing in a 24 hour convenience store, musing over the fact that at 4 in the morning I can buy several different porn magazines but not one copy of any bible...

And it's a little hard to argue with their label for my nation when I think of that. It will never make what they did right, but I find myself thinking of logs and motes when trying to condemn them.

If God ranks sin, I can't help but think that a "Christian" nation that doesn't sell bibles but does sell porn at every corner store might just upset Him a little more greatly than the murderous acts of confirmed disbelievers.

If nothing else...it makes us seem a bit more "infidelis" than they, since we're supposed to know better, and to demand better of our nation and our society.

That does NOT mean that God "sent" us September 11th to "punish us" (because He poured out all His wrath on Christ and that was enough). But it does mean that sometimes we run out from under His protection in a bald misuse of our God-given freedom, choosing to boldly go where Sodom went before...appearing as wicked even to other wicked judgmental people, and reaping the natural effects of that appearance and choice.

One was a natural disaster and one the result of evil men making evil choices. God has historically sent war and destruction as judgment on nations that turn their backs on Him and turned the hearts of men to do so.
Was this the case on September 11th? One cannot say for sure but either way I am sure it was a wake up call to America. I love my country but I can honestly say that the secular side of our nation is trying to force God from every public arena, the abortionists have the blood of 40,000,000+ slaughtered innocents on their hands and America needs to return to that which made her great: putting God at the very center of her culture.

God is always near them of a broken spirit, and a broken and crushed heart; but He also always resists(i.e. withstands) the proud, but only gives grace to the humble. We must needs learn to go through tribulations, and then understand as did Job: The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the Name of the Lord. Christ´s grace is sufficient for us, because His strength is made perfect in weakness. Now where each of our heart´s were in that day, we know, and He also knows.

Where was the devil on September 11?

He, the devil, tried to destroy mans hope in a loving personal God named Jesus Christ. He tried to make man believe there is no one willing to stand by his promise. The devil hope for just a second, mind you, in eternity that he ruled and that man is subject to fear. Our God and savior knows full well what transpired on that day. The Lord himself knows the ones who have placed their trust in him for salvation. He knows the one who knows the fear of almighty God and the loving embrace for those who place their faith in Jesus.
Where was the devil on that day? Jesus conquered him at the cross.
Perfect love casts out fear period!

My 90 year old father-in-law has a famous (and often repeated ) statement when talking about the poor moral and spiritual condition of the our beloved country: " Some day God is going to flush the toilet!".

I mean no disrespect to anyone and certainly have the greatest respect for those near 3000 thousand souls that perished that day. When we annually revisted 911 and I see all that horror again, I cry and get mad at the evil of it all over again.

But my father-in-law is right, God will flush the toilet some day and it is called Armegedon. We are in the end times my friends; there is just not much prophecy left to be fulfllled except our Lords return.

We are in the New Covenant and I feel that God is not in the business of pouring out His wrath any longer, atleast not until after His return.

In that regard, 911 is no different than Pearl Harbour, Hitler's mass slaughter of Jews, Gettysgurg and all other such events. It is just the capacity of Man to exact evil on his brother.

" Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it." Mathew 7: 13-14

We Christians need to do what ever it is in each of our on capacity to help prevent another 911 but that is not as important as our greatest purpose in this life and as long as their is a breathe left in us:

To preach St. Paul's gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To teach it and help plant the seeds of life with every person that God puts in our path, so when their own Armegedon comes they will be prepared as we are.

NOT true! They all did not need to die! They mostly died because they refused to hear the HOLY GHOST! He will warn us! A few did hear HIM and refused to work that day!
Few did hear HIM!
That is NOT to say , None were Born -Again! ?

Many do not hear the LORD well!

in the OT you see countless, ok well you can count them, but His people sin and turn away, then by the hand of an evil ruler he punishes His people. this nation used to be a christian nation settled by puritans who where fleeing tyranical rule. since the 60 is my guess this nation has raised itself up in pride. free love man and if it feels good do it. we also had a "king" of rock. since then we have declined morally to where there are orginazations like nambla er w/e it is. we lead the world in homicide, and many other things maybe in abortion maybe we are second to china who knows? God does. we even have a TV show called american idol. i think not a thus saith the Lord but i think this nation is in trouble. i think 9/11 was a wake up call.

I agree our nation is fading quickly!
But I al;so know there are many many people here that want to live good lives!
I also think, we are not spoken of in the bible much , because HE left room for our nation to repent!
He has used this nation in a great and wonderful way!
We have put leaders in who have rejected the truth !
But even then , there are a few who want to bless this nation!
GOd has shown me in a vision ,three times !Tampa will get njked! Not sure when !He Never revealed that! But , I thinking? Maybe it will take a great poroblem for our people to repent and turn back to OUR LORD!@
I saw after 9-11 Many , many people turn top the LORD hard! the evil people shut up And were not heard from a long time!
My Point is Please do not give up on the United States !
Pray for our People and our LEADERS And fast if you can!
Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
GOD reveals things to us, So we will not only warn others but pray for others and i would guess Fast for them!

Our Nation is in need of brothers and sisters in the LORD who will fast and pray for this dying nation!
GOD can and Will save our nation if we seek HIS face and pray for others to repent!

Eze 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

I will say this. We must have faith in the Lord and all that He has done and will do. He does things for His reason alone and we as christians must never question Him.

One thing I know...

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV)

Where was Jesus on 9/11?

He was everywhere on 9/11. Whilst many of you are great at quoting from the Bible fewer still understand the true meaning of its message.

What happened on that fateful day was no different to what happened at world war 1 and 2. Man made disasters through their belief that they could outdo God. Taller buildings faster planes, angrier enemies to destroy and the world's best intelligence. All of it failed.

Let me tell you brothers and sisters, greater than all of the intelligence gathering organizations they have built from the time of Ceaser, to the Mossad in Israel to the KGB, is that one single person who even envisions what these agencies do before their agents are conceived.

God gave us all the free will and intelligence to do what we want to with it. We chose to disobey and to worship false Gods like Wall Street and their money machine Gurus, credit cards, fast cars and loose men and women wine and song.(not our worship songs).

We made that choice. even if for a fleeting moment we made it we are as guilty. Because 1 billion of us opting for greed and sin for 'just a second' makes 1 billion sins per second.

Repentance, forgiveness and immersion in the word of God is the path to enlightenment wherein lies the real strength to overcome the grief of a million 9/11's.

Ask and you shall receive. I came here to this country, discarded by my husband when only 22 years old. My family would not take me back in Hong Kong. I worked as a massage parlour woman to survive which is why I opted for the name Magdalene (Mary Magdalene) and asked his forgiveness so I would neve forget who I was till I took him into my life.

Have faith. Have love. Give love. My partner is not Christin but he helps me to write my thoughts. My English is not so Good I hope you will forgive me.

Worse than 9-11 is on its way!
People are dying and suffering all over the world1 places are being blown up and the dead are carried out !
Every day death is coming to some households!
The important thing is knowing GOD as FATHER and friend!
I have suffered lots in my life!Still am in some ways!
I hardly worry about me! HE has always carried me though! I have had lots of miracles far more than the average child of GOD!
It doesn"t make me more or less !
Good you understand HE freed you from that life!
I am happy for you! many are still bound in all kinds of lives and suffering! We are the light of this world! He lives though us!
Hopefully We are bring light into the darkness!
Our lives us are a blink in time!Nothing really as far as time goes!
So much depends on how we live this short time!
Most of the suffering i have bought on my self?
Either by sin or bad decisions or preaching against satan! he really hates me ,I could care less what that beaten yoyo thinks!
I preach everyday of my life on the net , i guess !Hardly miss a day , even when i work on my job!
Praise MY LORD ,He blessed you and bought you to Him!

Where was God on 9/11

Hey Spirit list. Everyone must die. Thats not bad. We must learn to live good so we die good. Everything happening these days has happened before. Thats how the world was created with diversity. Bombs and wars will never stop. People can pray and hope that we do not settle our differences these ways forever.

God is there always. Those who believe in him have no fear of death. Death is the end of this life and the begining of eternity. Only he God will determine when and how. Don't be afraid like this. Accept and have faith.

I loved that!! God is always there, and he has given us the gift of a free will. And some people take that gift, twist it, and use it for evil. Just as they did for September 11, 2001.

The true christain does not fear death! But , our flesh does not want to die!
I been DEAD both ways! So , I know the death of All mankind! Having experienced it both ways!
The death of the christain or I should say? Leaving these bodies! It is GREAT, nothing bad ,Freedom our flesh causes us lots of problem and is a lot of work , taking care of its needs and keeping it from it desires at times! !
Still Our LORD wants us here to live though us and be a living blessing! Bring light into the darkness!
After all , We die at salvation , We give our ALL to our LORD JESUS CHRIST! Our old man or we can say ? Our old spirit is nailed to HIS Cross, Our New us longs to be with Him! After all , We were Created for HiM .He is our Purpose for life!
All our problems are in our Flesh mind!
The battles we fight!
But HE has declared us MORE than Conquerors and it CANNOT be changed!
It is Up to us to live the Words He spoke and gave to us!
I trust Him , Even unto the death of the flesh!

the Elect

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

The unsaved

1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
