CHRIST spoke a double edge sword in that scripture.

Two things were done when HE spoke!
John 8:7-9
[7]So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her
[8]And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
[9]And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

that incident with the woman is a good example of the Jews keeping the whole law and yet offending in one point and being guilty of all. That was the context of it and why Christ said he who is not guilty cast the first stone.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

When YASHAYAH CHRIST was speaking HE was speaking of HIMSELF.
But At the same time they were also convicted in themselves because they knew they were sinners.
Christ was the only one among them that was without sin!
And only HE could bring judgment!
Therefore HE gave GRACE to the woman!
According to the letter of the law she should've been judge right there!
As the scripture says!

Had the men had also brought the male, who committed adultery with the female in front of Christ; would Christ still be able to say in that context say "he who is without sin cast the first stone"?

Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

I would like to add; scripture tells us that Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom (Mat.4:23). Jesus knew the hearts of men, and that no man would be able to judge that woman for her sins after His statement; “whosoever is without sin, let him cast the first stone.” What was unknown to the Pharisees is that Jesus came to free every man from their sins (8:31, 32); but the Pharisees couldn’t understand what Jesus was saying (Joh 8:33).
Because Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, it was not time for man to be judged (2Cor. 5:19), this is why He gave the woman Grace. In other teachings Jesus did say, “For judgment I have come into this world (Joh. 9:39); but it was not to judge man, it was to judge sin/Satan.
Jesus had greater judgments to make when He came into this world. He came to judge the prince of this world (Joh 12:31), the spirit that works in the children of disobedience (Eph. 2:2); and to fulfill the Law of Moses (Rom. 8:3; Acts 13:39) that He might usher in Everlasting Righteousness (Dan 9:24). Without sin being blotted out, Everlasting Righteousness could not enter into the world. Jesus came to set man’s hearts free from sin and deliver them from Satan who resided in their hearts.
