I know we all cant wait for this to happen, it can not happen soon enough. I have been trying for a long time to figure out how the end plays out. I get the important part Jesus is coming back.

But the timing of the events that happen when he returns I just can not get a handle on.

So here is the question ....First I see Jerusalem being surrounded, and Jesus in heaven clearing out all of heaven, everyone in heaven getting there glorified bodies, and Jesus leading his army of glorified saints and angels with him to earth. I get this from Rev 19

Revelation 19
11. Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.
12. He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows.
13. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,c and His name is The Word of God.
14. The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses.
15. And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
16 And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh:

The following scripture seems along with Rev 19 seems to suggest to me that all heaven is cleared out and they are getting there glorified bodies. And those that remain on earth will also receive a glorified body.
Last day meaning when Christ returns. One will be taken and one left, and changed in a twinkle of eye.

John 6
39. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day.
40. For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

1 Corinthians 15:22
22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1 Corinthians 15
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—
52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed
53 For the perishable must be clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

Mathew 24
30.At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven,c and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.d
31. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
40. Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
41. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

Mathew 24
30. At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
31. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and
they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

So now we have Jesus and his army come down and capture the beast and false prophet and thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest killed

Rev 19
20 But the beast was captured along with the false prophet, who on its behalf had performed signs deceiving those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both the beast and the false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

21 And the rest were killed with the sword that proceeded from the mouth of the One seated on the horse.

Now keep in mind, at this point in time according to all the scripture I understand ,,I always thought everyone had received there glorified bodies. To me this is the last day ,,when the those dead in Christ rise first then those left (who have not died yet) at his coming receive the glorified body.

Rev 20
4 Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

It seems these souls have not been given glorified bodies until after the battle, that does not seem to line up with the other scripture I stated above

My thought has always been at Jesus coming before the battle everyone gets glorified bodies, the dead first then those that are left at his coming. But this passage seems to suggest These souls that have gone through tribulation do not come to life until after the battle, not before like everyone else. SO why are these souls getting resurrected bodies at a different time them the other souls? Why are these not with Jesus when saving Jerusalem?

Peoples will argue endlessly over what the scriptures reveal and the sequence of events.
As for me I will watch it happen on the six o'clock news. Might even push the sports news off the bulletin.
Even our Pentecostal church which operates the gift of prophecy at meetings in accordance with 1Corinthians 14 does not have a headstart on the full chronology.
Mostly God tells us to be strengthened in faith and love and to endure through the tribulation that is coming upon the whole Earth.
There will be a great sifting of faith and many will fall away.
No one is going up up and away before our Lord and God Jesus returns > then there is the marriage feast when those of the first resurrection will be changed in a twinkling of an eye.

Matthew 13:36 Then he left the crowds, and went into the house: and his disciples came to him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 And he answered and said, Who soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one;
39 and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the reaping is the consummation of the age; and the reapers are angels.
40 Just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; thus shall it be in the consummation of the age.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all the stumbling blocks and them that do iniquity,
42 and shall cast them into the furnace of the fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears, let him hear.

My understanding of this is that when Jesus returns to set up his government on the planet Earth there will still be millions of people who have survived the nuclear war and earthquakes
and other calamities. The living will be brought before God and every knee shall bow and confess that Jesus is Lord. Then comes the judgement of the tares and the weeds and
"and they shall gather out of his kingdom all the stumbling blocks and them that do iniquity" ... Jesus and the angels shall dispense judgement upon humankind.
