What was Jesus' Last Name?

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

So you're saying His last name was "Jesus Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham"?

I don't really think you are

bar Joseph, among those who spoke Arameic
ben Joseph, among those who spoke Hebrew

LOL That's what I say too. So many Christians talk as though Christ is Jesus' last name and they miss a lot because of that misunderstanding.

And this isn't like something that will depend on them going to Heaven or not. Some who answer with Christ just don't know enough about Jewish culture and need to be taught.

Last Name?
Jesus bar Joseph bar............bar Adam!
So I think his earthly name should Go like Jesus Adam ;)
Really Really Name is:
Jesus bar The Father (Noting fact that He is uncreated)

of course Bar Joseph wasn't CORRECT because we know that Joseph wasn't Jesus' really father, but I guess people called him that.

And btw, BARABBAS ... guess what that means:shade:

Son of Papa, and it couldn't be anyone 'cause everyone is papa's son.

cough, cough, unless they're papa's daughter of course

LOL I do wonder why Christians think Joseph had nothing to do with raising Jesus. The poor guy sure gets a bum rap from church people. The Catholics think he lived with a pretty lady all his married life and had no sex. Christians think all he did was to take Mary to Bethlehem, to Egypt and then home and left or something...
Take it from me, I know experientially, raising a kid lovingly makes you a father. Getting a woman pregnant does not. Yes God impregnated Mary. Yes Joseph raised Jesus. I think I can safely say that Joseph and God worked closely to raise Jesus. Mary was a normal good mother to Jesus. Joseph was legally Jesus father having done all his part in raising Him. So technically Jesus had two fathers. God and his earthly father Joseph, who's name He could legally take

You are so right. Joseph wasn't Jesus' blood father, but in every other way I think he was the best father ever. It was after all GOD who chose him.

Jesus would have surely used His step dad Joesph's last name. We of course are not given that name so it is anyone's guess.

In their culture the father's first name was the son's last name as far as I know. We see the same in several countries even today.

Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

He knew who HIS Father was!
You see? Joseph was not alive at the cross!
You would think a man raising GODS Son would be alive a long life! But , I think Joseph did not fully understand JESUS had more important work than helping HIS step dad! I think there was a serious problem between them !
The only fact I have to judge this is , Joseph was dead by the time of the cross!
The young men and boys of those days had to work and help there families they could be stoned for not obeying there dads!
Jesus was doing the LORDS work and not his step dads will!
Mary knew , it appears Joseph did not?
Nothing too argue about! This is just the way I see it!
I personally doubt , He would lie and say ,He was Josephs son!
But this is indeed a hard question to answer!
BUt the truth is ? HE was Not Josephs son !

Mat 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God

Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

The eternal things are much greater than the things we see!

2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

He was different than all other beings born of woman! He started off Perfect! WE do not in the flesh!
Act 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Act 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption

1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
This vs. has a two fold meaning!

I thought we were talking about what PEOPLE called Jesus while he lived on this earth.

OF COURSE we know and Jesus also knew who His real father was. i.e. God Himself
