Proverbs 6:16-19 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
“16There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to Him:
17haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that run swiftly to evil,
19a false witness who gives false testimony,
and one who stirs up discord among brothers.”
Speaking Lies is Common
We live in a day and time when evil seems to be just about everywhere we look, including within the gatherings of “the church,” and within our governments, and within the news media and the medical profession, and the list goes on. Lying seems to be widely accepted and is common place, sometimes all in the name of kindness and compassion. Deception is all over the place, as are brain washing and mind control and mind manipulation. Deceivers abound all over the place. So we must be discerning people!
Corruption in The Church
My husband and I were church planters for a while, so we went through some of the training sessions on how to conduct “church.” And so much of that is being led by marketing schemes and incorporations (businesses) and their business goals and objectives, rather than by the teachings of Christ and the Scriptures. We were instructed to “use needy people until you get up and running. Then get rid of the needy people for they will drag you down.” That doesn’t sound anything like what Jesus would have said, does it?
Corruption is all over the place. And with AI (artificial intelligence) being so popular, and seemingly has taken over the internet, deception abounds. It can be very difficult to discern who is who and what is what and whether or not who you are speaking to is a real person or is a robot. We are being spied on continuously. There is no such thing as privacy anymore. Pretty much everything that we do and say is being recorded somewhere by somebody. And there are cameras just about everywhere you go, as well.
Corruption in The Government
I live in the USA. The US government has been serving the wealthy and powerful of the world who are the de facto government of the USA, doing their dirty work for them, going into other nations, stealing their products, killing their people, and taking over their nations to bring them all into a one world totalitarian order of government (of the beast). I believe the US government is the harlot who rides the beast spoken of in the book of Revelation, and one day she will be destroyed (taken down, eliminated).
The news media is largely being controlled by the wealthy and powerful of the world, as well. Left and right politically is all for show, for they are just two sides of the same whole working for the same people, putting on a performance for the American people so that the people think they have a choice of government, but also to get the people fighting with one another, too. Our government is not going throughout the world rescuing everyone from “the terrorists,” for they themselves are the world’s worst terrorists.
Wake Up People!
We just have to wake up to the reality that we cannot trust most everyone and everything to be who or what someone claims that they are, doing what they claim they are doing. So much is being faked and photoshopped and AI generated. Just because we see it, and hear it, it doesn’t mean that it exists at all. So many people are professing one thing with their lips while they are doing the opposite of that. And so many preachers are teaching lies to the people, giving them a false hope of salvation and eternal life with God.
Many are telling the people that all they have to do is to make a profession of faith in Jesus and now they are good to go to heaven. And many are teaching that God does not require us to deny self, die to sin (repent), and obey His commands, while just the opposite of that is true and biblical. So we need to test what we are hearing against the teachings of the Scriptures, taught in the correct biblical context. For if sin is our practice, and not obedience to God, we will not inherit eternal life with God. Take this to heart!

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
