for they rebelled against the Spirit of God, and rash words came from Moses' lips. Psalm 106:33 NIV

What do you say when friends don’t respond the way you think they should?

As noted above, “rash words came from Moses’ lips” when God’s chosen people wouldn’t stop complaining.

What do you say when God doesn’t respond the way you think He should?

David became angry when he thought God responded inappropriately. David had caused the death of a friend by not moving the ark of the Lord in the prescribed way, but he blamed God for His supposedly unfair response (1 Chronicles 13:11;15:13). Later, after David made things right, God’s astonishingly patient love allowed David to lead the celebration that welcomed the ark home.

By contrast, after being imprisoned for telling people about Jesus, Paul and Silas sang God’s praises. They accepted the fact that the Lord alone sees how His seemingly inappropriate actions fit into the bigger picture. Their astonishingly patient love led to the jailer and his entire family becoming believers.

Like Moses, David, Paul, and Silas, you may endure difficult relationships, unfair treatment, social persecution, abuse at work, and even prison and torture (Acts 16:22). None of these experiences will seem appropriate or God-planned.

Will you wait for the inevitable miracle? If so, what will you say?

Prayer: Lord, help me believe so deeply in Your character that what I say in response to Your actions worships You!

Hello Nicola Jane,
For me as well :)
Just if you must grumble, let it just between you and God. He understands, and will help guide you through the Holy Spirit to a greater understanding of His Work through you. When that happens, its okay to be a little embarrassed as well :)

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Hello Nicola

Perfect words for you from Nick.

I know he won't mind me repeating what he said...

Just if you must grumble, let it just between you and God.

He understands, and will help guide you through the Holy Spirit to a greater understanding of His Work through you.

Thanks Nick, Bless you Nicola, be strong and of good faith, remain in His peace at all times and Love others through the tribulations you experience.

Always remember sister, you are not alone, you are not the first to go through a battle, you won't be the last.

Proverbs 3:5-7 (NKJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

Depart from evil, walk away when threats and fiery darts come your way, don't retaliate, you will be blessed, it is as good as offering the other cheek.

Have Faith, Hope through Faith and in all things Love is the greatest and will always win through. Especially agape, divine love.

Bless you

It appears none of us are exempt from saying dumb things at times even Moses. Peter rebuked Jesus, then Jesus rebuked Peter for allowing himself to be used by the devil.

Mar 8:31 And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Mar 8:32 And he said this plainly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
Mar 8:33 But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”

The tongue can NOT be tamed by any man. (James 3:8)
