What are Jesus' commandments?

Sin no longer separates us from God.

God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God's wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20&21

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. Col.1:19-22

if your statement is true then why is the law a requirement for getting into God's kingdom

A believer is written in the Lamb's book of Life.
Our life is hid with Christ in God, Col 3:3.
And in Christ there is no sin, 1John 3:5.
Our faith is counted for righteousness, Rom 4:5.
We have been sanctified, Heb 10:10.
We're holy, Rom 11:16.
We're perfected, Heb 10:14.
We've "ceased from sin", 1Pet 4:1.

Thus believers qualify, through our life being hid with Christ, to enter in.

To begin with, there is absolutely nothing in human self-reliant and self-centered lives which is not sin. Absolutely nothing!

Secondly, there is nothing more diversionary from our mortal sin of absence of personally revealed knowledge of God than dwelling on our other sins which are too many to count. Man's greatest sin are the strongholds of religions, and the false arguments and proud obstacles he raises against the knowledge of God in Christ's death on the cross, a.k.a., "the tree of life", according to the Scriptures and/or all traditions.

For man's acceptance of and obedience to the commandments specific to the knowledge of God, in the terms of the "new covenant" sealed in Christ's death on the cross, God has irrevocably promised to forgive all sins altogether! (Jer. 31: 31-34; Matt. 26: 26-29)

some churches teach that smoking and drinking, parties and shopping is sin.

But any expression of enmity manifested within/

You’re too pure to look at evil of crooked people/

Sin would be the grossest sight if it were a physical entity.

My point is this-Sin is so wicked/
But we dismissed this ‘cause we’re so distant/
From the Lord’s glorious light/
It’s not ‘til we’re in it that we’ll see sin’s horrible sight (right)/
But perhaps the greatest mystery/
Is that the Holy One Himself became iniquity/
And suffered infinite pain and misery/
To give us saving grace and make us sinners free.
