Mar 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, Mar 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God

Good news.

That God's kingdom is here, the Messiah had arrived. The promises or prophecies contained within the Old Testament were now realised. This in effect is Evangelism or the Good News. Redemption was available for all who trusted God.
