What i am learning

Ya theres quite a few "pastors" that have been charged with rape murder child molestation child rape. Seems many people fall for titles..i see titles n my guard goes right up frfr .

⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
and imagine that pastor is your father who has done it. lets just say he is unlikely to stop it and lets say it is even worse. should you not take precautions when you see him or be careful with contact? that is what I mean or the wife that gets beaten to the point she would die and threatened on her life.

the belief "honouring your parents" requires you to stay in contact with people who tried to kill you or something similar, is a dangerous interpretation of the bible. your life and safety is sacred, and protecting yourself from violence is not a sin.

honour does not mean submission to evil: in the bible, "honouring" parents means treating the role with respect, but it never commands children to submit to abuse, violence or attempted murder.
Jesus chose safety over dangerous people: when people tried throw Jesus off a cliff, Luke 4:29-30 or stone at him John 8:59 He didn`t stay to be harmed- He walked away. He explicitly told his disciples that if a place was unsafe, they should leave Mattew 10:23

God protects the vulnerable: scripture repeatedly condemns violence and commands the protection of innocent. Forcing a victim back to a life-threatening situation goes entirely against God`s character of justice and love.

separation is necessary for survival: biblical figures like David fled from King Saul(who was a father figure and authority) when Saul tried to kill him. David maintained his integrity, but he never put himself back in Saul`s reach.

Many people confuse forgiveness with reconciliation. You can eventually chose to forgive someone to free yourself from bitterness, but forgiveness does not require reconciliation, and it does not require contact. Trust must be earned, and an attempt on your life completely destroys that foundation. True love and safety require you to stay away from them.

Do not let religious pressure convince you to compromise your physical safety. You have a right to cut off contact and protect your life. If you are facing pressure from a specific church or group, it might be time to seek a different, healthier community that understands safety and trauma.

So the gospel according to Hanna is ''if you get death threats from your spouse you can divorce''.

No, the biblical instruction to the Christian is to always stick at a marriage. Only to divorce if there is death, adultery or them completely leaving you. If there is extreme abuse a number of scriptures point to temporary separation and counselling sessions with elders.

A marriage is clearly very sacred to God and unless one of the three items mentioned above are present, there is always hope of reconciliation. Mood swings or bad language are not reflective of a depth of intent of hatred for your spouse or God. Adultery is. Completely leaving is. If I left my wife after every death threat I would be on my tenth wife.

1 Corinthians 7:15 if an unbelieving spouse departs, the believer is “not under bondage” in such a case.

1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord

Matthew 5:32: “Whosoever shall put away his wife, except for sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery.

Matt 19:9 Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery.

Matthew 19:6 “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Physical abuse / a girl "getting crap knocked out of her" makes for a very interesting discussion.

High level, of course nobody can be in such a situation. It is an immediate separation. When there is a separation both must remain single and call for elders / counseling. This is what scripture teaches.

In counseling sessions the truth will come out. Most times husbands beat their wives as they have lost all respect for them as...they (the husbands) have cheated and are falling in love with someone else. They have lost respect for God (fake or not a Christian) and the institution of marriage. Or maybe they have anger issues and need some medication. It is most often the first according to a counselor I know.
