Just a question for open discussion.

John 20:29 speaking to Thomas Jesus says "Ye believe because ye have seen me, Blessed are those that believe without seeing me."

Thomas believed after he saw, can the same be said for those alive and/or born after the kingdom reign begins?

A number of them will become political activists.

Rev 20:7-9 . . And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed
out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four
quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the
number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the
earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire
came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

WE are all the people who have been born in the 1000 year reign. Has Jesus not been reigning ever since his ascension?

It's been very nearly 2,000 years since Christ's crucified dead body was restored to life.

Has Jesus not been reigning ever since his ascension?
Christ has been busy with his spiritual duties as a high priest, i.e. a mediator between
God and Man, viz: his political duties are on hold for now.

I suppose it depends on one's understanding of the scriptures that say:

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

You can see that through Christ, Satan was defeated and bound for a thousand years. THEN, after that thousand years ended, he would be loosed.... Read on.

Then--- after that first thousand years had ended and Satan was once again loosed, those slain lived and reigned with Christ for another thousand years. That makes two thousand years, which is now coming to an end. A season is ending, a harvest is coming.

Prophetic language is oftentimes written in grammatically past tense; for example
Isa 53:5-9, which says:

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we
like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and The
Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."

"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is
brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so
he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who
shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the
transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the
wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither
was any deceit in his mouth."

All of that was penned something like 700 years before Christ was born, and yet
his crucifixion is spoken of as if before then.

yeah.... well I believe scripture that says he has been reigning, not waiting.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Miss Anne That was a prophesy that you read in Rev 20 and it has not come to pass yet...This happens AFTER the tribulation period...which has not happened yet...The fallen angels (well the leaders of them) are locked up now but the accuser, satan is not locked up. He still is busy accusing you to God trying to get you condemned...

That may be your understanding, but it is not mine.

Quite a few Christians-- myself included --have little interest in Jesus' reign over the
entire cosmos.

Dan 7:13-14 . . As my vision continued that night, I saw someone who looked like
a man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient One and was
led into his presence. He was given authority, honor, and royal power over all the
nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would
obey him. His rule is eternal--it will never end. His kingdom will never be
destroyed.

The reign that interests many of us is related to David's crown, i.e. Christ's

position as the Jews' long-anticipated Messiah.

Luke 1:32-33 . . He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and
the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign
over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Please present your understanding of it. I would like to read what you have to say about it.

There's not much to explain. Christ overcame the world and was crowned King.

King's reign.

But you don't have to take my word for it. Jesus said-

“My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

You make a valid point that Jesus is a King, actually a King of Kings.
But how do you address the fact that He said His kingdom is not of this world
and is not the 1000 year reign to be of this world? What are your thoughts on it?

His kingdom is spiritual. The Kingdom of God is within you, he taught and that is where God reigns. His throne is not of this earth and he has been on the throne since he was taken up, back to that place he descended from. His servants became a kingdom of priests, a royal priesthood in that spiritual kingdom-- not one that is yet to come, but one he taught was here-- within.

The first resurrection is not physical, rather it is the spirit that returns to God.

Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

As priests of God and of Christ his servants serve in that kingdom that is not of this earth.

Please explain to me how you work this into the equation:

Revelation Chapter 11

And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell,
and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying,
The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

John 18:33 . . Then Pilate called Jesus, and said unto him: Art thou the King of
the Jews?

John 18:36 Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were
of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the
Jews; but now is my kingdom not from hence.

There's a time element in Jesus' response; it stands out by the word "now".

There's also an origin element; it stands out by the words "from hence".

There are certain passages in the New Testament popular with folk who don't want
Jesus to come back to the earth in person. They seem okay with his presence up in
Heaven just so long as he stays put.
