What does the Bible say about denominations?

Maybe a branch which stays attached to Jesus bears fruit, and one who does not is cut away as well.No maybe!! Fact!! hehe John 15:2-6

Back in 2004 I personally asked God this question: "Why are there so many different denominations?" His reply was: "Because they didn't want to follow ALL the rules" I wrote that in my Bible because I was told to write down anytime God speaks to me so I did that answer. Today I learned at Church was a body of Christ is just that... a whole body. Not parts laying here or there. They are all together & where they need to be. If this denomination says that denomination isn't the "right" denomination that's wrong. God is ONE not several. There are "Gay churches" popping up now & because "society" is forcing its citizens to "accept" homosexuality because well, "they" (worldly folks). BUT - just because it's acceptable by many doesn't make it any less of a sin. God & his requirements NEVER change - He is the same yesterday, today & always. THIS world accepts it but since WE (Born Agains) are NOT playing by this worlds rules but instead by the Lords rules (or trying our best to anyway) WE do not accept it. I may catch some flack for saying this but I didn't make the rules. I'm just simply abiding by them & putting them out there. Being heterosexual myself I sin daily & not because I plan to, I was created to sin & seek God to become clean & be forgiven by him.

I like the answer you got sis!! I would not say we are created to sin though!! LOL( Col 1:16,psalm 100:3 ) yes we have the opportunity to sin of course! But I do not believe we were created to sin. hehe If you look up the word denomination it is the same word a Club! Believe as we do, then you may join our club, have a difference?? You cannot join our club! This of course sister is no surprise.( 1Cor 3:1-9!!!) There has always been a problem with people,starting new clubs for there own amusement and there own gain!( 2 Cor 2:17!!) this is done,so that that everyone value in the body of Christ no matter of title or rank they themselves wish to place upon themselves is never above another! ALL Have same value to our Jesus!!( 1 Cor 12:12-31) and what is that more excellent way?? YEP!!! LOVE!! 1 Cor 13:4-8!! For the person who has love, HAS the very nature of the living God within them! Thanks for that reminder sis!! For God loves all the same!! ( rom 2:11,acts 10:34!)
