I think when you take in the context of when Jesus was saying this and to see it play out in today's world it is amazing. Just more concrete evidence that he is God.

In the world of psychology, hate is a destroyer. If someone hates you, that starts a self examination. One of our first thoughts is why? What have I done? I really don't know of anyone who doesn't want to be loved and accepted. When hatred comes my way, it becomes a tremendous burden on my mind and then the question of acceptance, either of the person doing the hating, or myself, if I'm Ok with that and forget it.

i can't understand why mathew alone mentions kill, was it because his audience were the jews?

That is be beautiful of the Gospels.

We get to see the story from different perspectives. The same way you and I may describe the same person but use different words based on our style of communication, our perception of the person, and our audience, we see this in Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John's portrayal of Jesus.

We see many of the same stories told from different points of views allowing us to see divinity through the eyes of humanity.

When I first read the title of this thread... I thought it would be about the world calling conservative
Christians "haters". That seems to be the word lately... if you disagree with me or what I think... you're
a "hater".

But we can disagree without hating one another.

The funny thing is... those who are calling us "haters", hate the Bible,
they hate the 10 commandments, they hate Jesus, and they hate God.

Part of the reasons the gospels are slightly different is because they were written to different audiences.
