Knowing what God's Word says about healing is vital to living a healthy life. Many Christians never study the Bible on their own (used to be one); therefore they are not aware of the truth in God's Word concerning healing. As born again believers, we must study the Bible! The Bible is our manual for living a healthy, victorious life. If you don't truly understand why Jesus went to the cross, His healing power is not in you. You must understand with your mind the reason Jesus was crucified. Then, if you choose to believe it with your heart; God the Holy Spirit will come to dwell within your heart. At that moment, you will receive God's healing power.
Physical truth is what is discerned with the five senses. It may be financial problems, unemployment, sickness, or family problems. If you are sick you are sick, but the good news is, you don't have to stay in that condition. There is something better. Revelation truth is what God's Word says about you and the situation that you are presently in. 1 Peter 2:24-He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds we have been healed.
The healing in the above scripture is a past action. It is not going to happen in the future. When you say you believe God is going to heal, you are putting it in the future. The Word says He has already done it! At Calvary Jesus provided healing for all believers. As you renew your mind through the Word of God, you will obtain revelation truth and can say with absolute surety, "I believe that I am healed by the stripes of Jesus." The revealed truth comes into the life and light of God the Holy Spirit within your spirit and consumes the darkness of sickness or disease. You are changing the natural by the supernatural. When you know scripture concerning healing, when you believe it in your heart, focusing on the finished work of Christ at the cross; healing which has already been granted to you will manifest itself into your physical body. By not believing that you are healed even though you feel with your senses that you are sick; you will stop the flow of the supernatural healing power of God in your body. 2 Corinthians 4:18-So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. The spirit world is infinitely more powerful than the natural world. Malachi 3:6-For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
The power of God is greater than any circumstance. Plant God's Word into your mind and heart. Keep it living there. Trust in it, rather than focusing on what you see or feel. Joel 3:10-Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!" When you know scripture concerning healing, the Holy Spirit Who dwells within you is able to remind you of the verses you have already planted in your heart. Then you can talk to God about them. Your belief and consequent confession will bring the unseen into existence. 1 Corinthians 1:28-God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are.
When you believe God's Word and talk to Him about it, you are speaking His blessings over you situation. You can't communicate with God about His Word unless you know His Word. When you talk to God about His Word, you are speaking words of life. Start today by putting life into your vocabulary. Words work for you or against you-you have a choice.
Lord, thank You for the Bible. Lead us to the verses concerning healing. When we plant Your Word in our hearts, we can receive Your healing power. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
