Jesus is God.

Even the Father calls the Son God.
John 1:1; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2; He was in the beginning with God.
He was with God, and He was God.
Matt 1:23; "BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL," which translated means, "GOD WITH US."
Jesus is/was God with us. Not sort of God, not a god, not half god. But "God" with us.
Isa 9:6; For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
The Son is "Mighty God".
John 5:18; For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father,
making Himself equal with God.
Gen 1:1; In the beginning
God created the heavens and the earth.
God created the heavens and the earth.
Col 1:16; For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Jesus created the heavens and the Earth... Jesus is God.
God the Father is God. He is the alpha and omega, (first and last)
Rev 21:6; Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
Rev 21:7; "He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
Jesus is the alpha and omega also.
Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God,
"who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
Rev 22:13;
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
A "mere man" can never be your redeemer.
Psa 49:7;
No man can by any means redeem his brother Or give to God a ransom for him—
But God can.
Psa 49:15; But
God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, For He will receive me. Selah.
Is Jesus your redeemer? (

Do you worship Jesus? Do you worship anyone who is not God?
Rev 15:4; "Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS WILL
COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED."
Matt 2:11; After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and
worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matt 14:33; And those who were in the boat
worshiped Him, saying, "You are certainly God's Son!"
Matt 28:9; And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and
worshiped Him.
Thomas called Jesus God, Jesus didn't tell Thomas He wasn't.
John 20:28; Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"
John 20:29; Jesus *said to him,
"Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."
The "fulness" of deity is in Jesus, not part deity, not "kind of" deity, but the fullness of feity.
Col 2:9; For in Him all the
fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

John 1:18; No one has seen God at any time; the
only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
Any valid doctrine of Jesus must agree with all of these verses.
Notice the rearrange of the 1st part of her statement and I am not taking away from her statement but viewing it from a different position as you would view a picture in a gallery. And everyone knows what the name "Immanuel" means.
