I wasn't sure where to share these kinds of things that come to me. I have some to share and I don't want to have a discussion about if they are from God or not. I want to share and just let poeple know they happen. Where would I start these things? Thanks.

Well.

With all visions, Before you share I would make real sure that they are backed by the Word of God or you may get some negative feedback.

Visions are dreams from God are real. When I was a new Christian I had a few visions about a situation that pertained to me.

A lot of times, Dreams and Visions are the lowest form of communication between God and man. If God has to do something in 3d HDTV with Dolby stereo for me then I have to ask myself if I have been ignoring the Holy Ghost and His Leading.

Another issue with these is that Satan, is pretty good at reproducing these dreams and visions. He is god of the senses.

You said you don't want to have a discussion if they are from God or not. Well, like anything that is from the Holy Ghost it is to be judged on 2 or 3 witnesses. Just because I said thus said the Lord, does not mean God said anything, and each believer is responsible for what they accept.

I guess what I meant by a discussion is that people get into debate about these things...and I KNOW for a fact that God showed up. I just want people to know that once you are close to God....he'll make himself known.

I don't think dreams and visions are a lower communication because of what the Bible says about them...how Joseph could interpret them, etc.


I am not talking about dreams....but God shows me things that are happening in the Spirit realm when I'm awake. I want to share that with others.

Well.

There is biblical evidence they are real. So if your convinced they are from God. Then share!!!!

I have experienced, them and more important I see proof in the Word that they are real.

um..

I guess that depends. If it is great revelation in the Word of God, I would go for the Bible study.

If it is something coming up in the future, or something that has been filled I would go for the prophecy section.

Something for men then the men section.

If it is something that we need to change in our life, and get things right, then I would put it in the ethics section.

If it is something that changed your life, and you got a victory in, then I would put it in the testimony section.

If it is something that you saw into the realm of the spirit and seen devils, angels, ETC....... then this would be fine as the thread is already called visions/revelations.

There is a new post button on the top of he screen though, and many just click on that and go to the new post, without really looking at what section it is in. So many will read it no matter.

In any event, I believe with you that you will be able to share it exactly as the Lord gave this to you. God Bless.........

What do you think about Cornelius and Peter were they both ignoring HolySpirit? Acts 10

first old and new testament visions are different. We are constantly filled with the Spirit, the Spirit came upon them and God had to deal with man in a very natural way.

Next point, Jesus said things will no longer be in parables, for some prophet to interpret but he will show us plainly of the father.
Cornelius, was not Filled with the Spirit of God at the time, So God used an angel to talk to him, most likely he saw this angel in the realm of the spirit. Acts 10.

Peter had a vision to show him something in terms that he could not receive as it went completely against what he believed. Not being able to get the information to him by the prompting of the Spirit, Peter had a vision of some unclean animals and a sheet. Next we see Peter being taken by men. Now at Cornelius house everything comes together finally for him. Peter finally gets it. God is not a respecter of persons!!!

Act 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

So, the light comes on for Peter finally for us to read, and becomes the eternal Word of God. Peter could have just used a bible program and found out that God is not a respect of persons in the old Testament, but the bible was still being written.

Acts 16:9 Paul to go to Macedonia.
Acts 18 and 22.Talks to the Lord Jesus.
Paul was not trained with the rest of the disciples. All his revelation came directly from Jesus. So, it's not a wonder because the bible was not completed yet, Jesus had to appear to Paul several times to give instruction and new information.

I never said they were ignoring the Holy Ghost, I did not mean that every vision or dream as foretold by Joel was because someone was spiritually dumb. The bible was still being written at the time, and the foundation was being laid.

It was just a caution that being led by the Spirit of God inside is a more excellent way. The Word of God being the best as it's a more sure word of prophecy. Many have gotten into error trying to be led by visions and dreams, and Satan can counterfeit these very easy. I know, I have helped a lot of these people and it is best to never expect to be led this way. Just a warning, in trying to help...

First Sharing

One Sunday morning at church, I was in my 'special place' at the lefthand side of the stage and altar area. I was worshipping and enjoying my time with God there. We as a congregation were singing the song 'Amazed', which talks of God singing over us. Then, I got this 'knowing' (the best way to describe it) that as I was worshipping and singing I wasn't the only one. I knew the congregation was worshipping, too, but I also could see angels worshipping and dancing with me. Then, like a breeze, a breath, God was singing over me. It was amazing. I give God all the glory for this. All I had done was get into his presence and he showed up in such a mighty and awesome way. It is so awesome to have scripture come alive all around you.

Second Sharing

This past Tuesday, Ben (my husband) and I were driving back home form doing errands. We past two boys riding their bikes. They didn't know that a Protector, an angel, was watching over them (I saw this).

Then, the 'vision' (not sure if that is what it is called or not) moved to a woman shielding a child with her body. An angel draped its wings over them and then stood with wings outstretched as the wave of water came. The wings stopped the water in its tracks. The water never touched the child and woman.

Thank you for sharing that with us!!! God uses angels to protect us and they listing to the voice of God's word.

I used to live in a bad neighbor hood, and always told my christian friends that I had angels guarding my house. Well one night in bible study one of the woman saw a angel standing outside by my front door dressed in a flowing rob, and holding a sword. I wish I could have seen that.

The Gift your talking about is spiritual discernment. The Holy Ghost allows us to see what is going on in the realm of the spirit, so what your actually seeing is really taking place. Some of my friends have also claimed that angels have sang with them.

Remember when an angel of the Lord helped Peter on a jail break? The angel even told him not to forget his coat.

So, know that wherever you go, angels of the Lord are standing by, ready to act............

Warning (caution)! i like that word. I heard a lot of stories about dreams and visions from my close brethren here and how they suffered. I remember Paul when he has seen a vision (II Corinthians 12:1-10). Because of their zeal or excitement or whatsoever to tell what they have seen, tendencies are testings, unbelief, rejection, opposition, others do not understand and other encounters may occur due to the vision. (take note of Joseph when he told his dream to his brothers and father)

God does speaks in dreams and visions (and many testify about it) but as Bro. Mike said be cautious. Visions can also be a counterfeit from Satan. The best thing to be done when seeing a vision or dream is to pray about it, understand it and know why is the vision is seen. If you think the vision is for your own consumption keep it yourself and bless God. If it's for the benefits of others share. Many times i have dreams and visions about people and the church, my family and other amazing ones. Sometimes also dreams and visions terrify me a lot. But not all the time i would tell what i have seen in my dream nor what the Word says about it. What i always do is to pray and intercede because God never said I have to tell this to them or the church. If you are bothered about the vision approach those who has a gift or inclination about dreams and visions and be encouraged.

Well, for one if someone tells me of a dream or vision, I will get a witness in my spirit about it. I do believe that Giggles4God had the real thing. I also believe it was a revelation for just her. I know it's exciting when something like that first happens, so it's OK.

Check:
1) was the dream or vision clear, and understandable?
We are not living in the old Testament days. God is not the author of confusion, and Jesus said I will show you plainly of the Father.
(Joh 16:25)
If the message is unclear or full of symbolism then forget it. Set it on the back burner, and don't dwell on it.

2) No dream or vision from God will leave you scared, worried, or feeling bad.

Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Many, have ended up in insane asylums or on depression medicine because they thought something dreadful was from God. I know one very personally. God can show you the worst of things coming, but there will still be peace at the end, and the answer on what to do about it. If it left you scared, worried, fearful, dreadful, then look to the spirit of fear, and lies. Not God, he is the God of peace. cast it down!!!

3) All dreams or visions must line up with the word of God.

there is no such thing as NEW revelation about God, but what is revealed about in his word. Welcome to Mormonism. So, an angel can claim to come from God, it can seem like God, but if it is not in line with the Word of peace..... NOT GOD.

4) Never seek to have dreams or visions. This is as the Spirit of God wills to Help every man. If you do, then you will get in to big trouble, and confused.

5) The more word you have sown into your heart, the more the Spirit of God can talk to you about things. This is not vision or dreams, but the word of God separates soul and spirit. (Heb 4:12) or separates your thinking from What is the Word or Spirit of truth. God can deal with you on greater levels, once you have his word sown richly into you. He knows you won't get confused by it.

This is not all of it or all there is to know, but a general guide line.

with regard of symbolism i remember Daniel's vision(Daniel 7 & 8) and an explanation was given. I also remember John's in revelation (full of symbols). those reading Revelations without understanding on the symbols are terrified by it. i'm hearing many.

I agree with this. I remember one time when i was praying i saw myself walking "crawling?" in a furrow of fire and i saw Jesus at the end saying come.. come.. the fire will not burn you.. and i was crying, deep groaning.. then God gave me His Word in Isaiah 43:2. After two weeks i was on a fiery trial. Praise the Lord.

hahaha. i remember also my prayer partner regarding this. she told me one time she's asking God for a vision(dream) and God answered Him in Ecclesiates 5:7 "MUch dreaming and many words are meaningless". The she laughed. haha

Lets not forget the original post. Giggles4God saw in the Realm of the spirit. The angels of the Lord, standing, and protecting. A great revelation of one of God's ways of keeping us safe.

I am pretty sure with all your scripture knowledge that you could confidently answer this yourself. However, being curious, I am sure you would like to see how I respond. This is close to getting over in to the Bible study section. So, I'll be brief.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Most of the leading from the Holy Ghost is to be led by the Spirit of God. This did not say being led by the voice of God, or the column of fire of God. We Have the Holy Ghost to lead us.

Being led, means to have direction. To best describe it, it is a small check or stop and go signs inside you. For example you may want to go one way, but you get uneasy feeling (Something is just not right.) It just does not set well with you. The other direction seems right. You can't explain it, but you have a more confident feeling about it.

Lots of good Christians have ignored these to their great hurt and death. If you listen to your spirit, God will lead you in the right direction. This is also the main way God keeps us from danger.

A woman full of faith that quoted her protection scriptures everyday went out to go shopping. Along the way she was severely beaten and robbed. Upset, and healing from her wounds, she asked her Pastor why God had not protected her. The Pastor Told her, that God is faithful and that She must have missed him before her trip to the store. Then the light came on, she had feeling, (Check or stop) about going to the store at the time she planed to go. She ignored that, quoting some faith scriptures about protection on her way out the door. She knew then that God was warning her not to go to the store at that time.

My wife was late getting somewhere and so was on her way out the door. Just before she left, the thoughts to jiggle the toilet handle in the upstairs bather room came to her. The toilet had run water before, but it was no big deal, so she decided not to go up and check the toilet. The thought came to her again, but she ignored it.

8 hours latter.

She came home to find almost a inch of toilet water, the filled the whole bottom half of the house. She called me on the phone, mad to tell me what happened. Just then the Lord spoke to me and said. "Tell her not to be so upset, she ignored me when I told her to check that handle."
I asked her if she had anything in her spirit about checking that toilet. Well, the light came on for her, and she then knew it was God trying to deal with her about checking that toilet. It took almost two weeks to fully get the bottom floor dried out.

The Spirit of God is your inward witness to something that is right or something that is wrong. constantly ignoring these things can make you dull to hearing from God. Your conscience can be seared if you continue disobey what you know inside to be right.

Be careful to listen and obey everything.
Is that movie your watching setting right with you?
That music you allow, is it setting well with you?
move that glass from the counter, could it be knocked over later?

Sure, you may miss God, following all these, but it's better to step out in faith and miss God, than end up with something he never intended you to have to deal with.

study scripture in the Bible and find the places where things seemed right or someone perceived something. Like Paul's journey on that ship.

Well, any Bible your holding at the time would be the correct Bible, after all, we have to believe it by faith anyway.

I use the KJV, and may at times use another translation to expound as the KJV is more consistant with words when using a Bible program than any other bible.
