1 Corinthians 12:8 lists wisdom as one of the spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit. For many years, God has blessed me by using me to give Words of Wisdom to folks as I am praying for them. On some occasions He has given me a vision to go along with the message.
One incident that I will never forget happened as I was praying for a lady who was concerned about making mistakes in her Christian walk. As I prayed for her, The Spirit gave me picture of the inside of a huge circus tent. It was a television camera type view from the floor of the tent looking up toward the roof.
The vision started with a close-up of a high wire performer nervously moving the balance pole to stay on the wire. As I watched, the "camera" began to pan backwards slowly, ever so slowly (or so it seemed). Suddenly, the "camera" began to reveal a huge net that had been strung above the floor of the tent. And God said, "Tell her I will not let her crash and burn. She is safe with Me."

"He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still!' Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to His disciples, 'Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?'" (Mk 4:39-41).
We can all depend on God all the time.

That's an awesome vision story brother. I love hearing these things. GOD is so awesome, always assuring and re-assuring us that He will not forsake us, not leave us alone. He is with us til the end.

Matthew 28:19-21
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

May I share this beautiful vision . When I woke up one morning , I too had a vision of a green grass hill slope with trees at the far end of the hill . On the grass , there stood a cross about a height of an eight-year-old child . And immediately Psalm 3 and 39 were flashed on my mind . I was excited , so I rushed to get the Bible . True enough . Faith in Jesus . That was the message before I left for Kuala Lumpur , to attend a workshop .
Chad , what is your opinion about this vision ?

Would like your views. Thanks . The Lord is good ALL the time ! Amen

Psalm 3

A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son.

1 LORD, how they have increased who trouble me!
Many are they who rise up against me.
2 Many are they who say of me,
There is no help for him in God.” Selah

3 But You, O LORD, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
4 I cried to the LORD with my voice,
And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah

5 I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me all around.

7 Arise, O LORD;
Save me, O my God!
For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone;
You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongs to the LORD.
Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah

Psalm 39

To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.

1 I said, “I will guard my ways,
Lest I sin with my tongue;
I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle,
While the wicked are before me.”
2 I was mute with silence,
I held my peace even from good;
And my sorrow was stirred up.
3 My heart was hot within me;
While I was musing, the fire burned.
Then I spoke with my tongue:

4 “LORD, make me to know my end,
And what is the measure of my days,
That I may know how frail I am.
5 Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths,
And my age is as nothing before You;
Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah
6 Surely every man walks about like a shadow;
Surely they busy themselves in vain;
He heaps up riches,
And does not know who will gather them.

7 “And now, Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in You.
8 Deliver me from all my transgressions;
Do not make me the reproach of the foolish.
9 I was mute, I did not open my mouth,
Because it was You who did it.
10 Remove Your plague from me;
I am consumed by the blow of Your hand.
11 When with rebukes You correct man for iniquity,
You make his beauty melt away like a moth;
Surely every man is vapor. Selah

12 “Hear my prayer, O LORD,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
13 Remove Your gaze from me, that I may regain strength,
Before I go away and am no more.”

Let others respond and I will respond shortly after. Sounds very interesting

Yes, we are just sojourners upon this earth. Traveling through. Yes.

There is nothing better than the Psalms. Draw closer to Christ, closer and closer.

Lord, break down the enemies of tJ and Chad--they are set all around us, Lord---redistribute the enemies to another place that we would live in peace and fellowship. That we would grow in Christ in your name. That we would encourage each other and learn your Word. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear all ,
Jesus speaks to us everyday .
A great teacher he is...
He uses various teaching approaches and teaching techniques . He rewards us abundantly. He listens to us.
He talks to us too but many a time , we do not listen to HIM .

Sometime ago , JESUS had revealed to me a message in Hebrew .That was the turning point of my Christian faith .How did I know it was Hebrew ?It sounded strange and That's I surfed the net .

"Ah Koof tee " It is in Psalm 119
Which means I cry unto Thee my Lord
Awesome!
We have a LIVING GOD with us . Alleluia

Acts 2:16-18 (New International Version)

16No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17" 'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.

God bless...yes sooner or later if your near to Jesus in prayer and fellowship, every saint will have a dream or vision or revelation of some sort. This usually happends to us to give us more faith, or maybe its a message for us or someone else. But like i said it comes by being in holy communion with Christ, fasting and prayer also, or its the drawing of the spirit with new converts (ie signs and wonders). But be carefull of false prophets they can be convincing, and their porpose is either to uplift you falsely so you will follow them. Then sooner or later they will betray you, or lead you astray....

God bless

Dear Fellowservant ,
Allow me to quote you .
"But be carefull of false prophets they can be convincing, and their porpose is either to uplift you falsely so you will follow them. Then sooner or later they will betray you, or lead you astray....'
Could you please explain further ? How do we identify these false prophets ? What do we do if they betray us or lead us astray ? How ? Can anybody please explain to me ?
Thank you .

Sister Linda, to identify false prophets would include the following:

1. Asking GOD for Wisdom and discernment by the Holy Spirit
2. If their [false prophets] words do not match up with Scripture, you know they are false
3. Do you lack peace about what someone says to you? Likely it is the Holy Spirit warning you.

Dear Chad ,
Thank you for the posting. I understand point 1 and 2.They are clear to me Could you please explain point 3 for me .
Thank you .GBU

Chad's third point is for people who are familiar with Scripture and. when a word is given to them and they pray about it and check it against scripture; they are not comfortable with the word that was given. They doubt that it applies to them or that it is accurate, and they are probably correct in their doubt.

I hope this makes sense for you.

Hi SpiritLedEd

Thanks for the explanation. I have two incidents to relate to point 3.

Incident 1
I was taught to venerate the statues when I was young .Somehow , one day ( 10 years ago ) , I felt that it was a wrong act . I was instantly convicted .I teach my children not to bow down to any statues . (a kind of paying homage )
Question : Does this kind of discernment refers to point three ?

Incident 2
Recently , when I was in a hotel in Kelantan , I had an uncomfortable feeling of this : 'confession to a priest '.
The feeling reveals that it is only right to confess our sins directly to Jesus. I can't describe this feeling . It came when I was reading the Bible . Bro. Chad and SpiritLedEd, can you help me on this .Does this refer to point 3 ?

Praise God .
I had my questions answered.
I had read them in GotQuestions . That's it . It fits the puzzle in my mind .

I believe that it is more to do with the priestly structure and offices than the confession of sins.
James said, "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results." James 5:16

Praise the Lord that the Holy Spirit is leading you and that you are following Him lindadc.

I know the Holy Spirit uses dreams and visions to strengthen us.

The year was 1997 and I had a really weird dream. In the dream I was standing in the middle of the street in front of my house and I was terrified and needed to shout but couldn't. IN THE DREAM the Holy Spirit told me to "whistle" then I woke up.

A week later, my ex-husband burst down my front door and had me cornered in my kitchen. It was 1:00 am and he was drunk. He had heard that I had a boy friend and had come in hopes of "catching us" .. I divorced him because HE commited adultry and I guess in his mind, if he "caught me" then he somehow would be "off the hook". But I was innocent. He had made such noise bursting down a locked door that I had jumped up and as he came through the house he backed me into a corner in the kitchen and the look in his eyes was of shear evil. I got past him (by the grace of God) and was out the front door and standing in the middle of the street.. I couldn't hardly breathe and could not scream for help. Fearing for my life, I remembered the dream.

I started Whistling!!! I have one of those whistles that is ear pearcing. (You do not want to sit next to me at a concert!) Neighbor's lights in their houses started to come on. And I was able to scream "911" "911" "911" "911" "911" !!!

Neighbors up and down the street were standing at their doors and on their porches holding up their cordless phones signifing the police had been called.

My Ex-husband saw that and jumped in his company truck and fled before the police arrived.

I thank God for the "warning" and "instruction"...Praise His Name!!!

Very interesting dream sister, thanks for sharing. Has he repented now, changed in any way? Did he seek counseling?
