There is a wild fire sweeping across Wise County in Texas. It is forcing the release of cattle to the wilds to they can try to escape and the evacuation of several rural areas.
Forces are mobalizing between Keeter and Boyd as a staging area to try to stop the blaze. If they fail, it will likely be strong enough to cause damage in the very metropolitian (by comparison) area of Decatur. The staging area is about 3 miles from my father-in-law's home.
Please join me in prayer to stop this fire in its tracks and protect the homes and lives of the people affected.
Heavenly father, I most humbly ask in Jesus' name that You stretch forth Your mighty hand and rebuke this destructive fire. Forgive whatever irresponsible human actions may have contributed to its starting and pour out Your mercy and protection upon those who dare to battle this blaze. Grant to us deliverance from these flames and death.
