URGENT - info as of 9-1 @ 2:25pm

Please pray for my older sister, Cathi Vogel.

Her liver is functioning VERY poorly & thus causing kidneys to fail.

She will be transferred to Duke ASAP.

Duke is moving Cathi up to Emergency Status for liver transplant, but tests have to be done 1st to make sure she can take surgery.

Her husband, Nick is in California for work while she is in Greensboro, NC & he can't get back to her until 1am tonight.

Father we ask that You bless and help Cathi, heal her body and let Your peace rule and reign in the hearts of her whole family.

UPDATE as of 09-14-10

Cathi still needs a new liver, but there have been some improvements/changes.

She was at top of list but not now.

She was in ICU, but yesterday was able to step down 1 level, to equivalent of CCU - with better, less restrictive, hours for Nick - her husband, to see her.

Cathi's ammonia level is down a good bit - this is produced when liver isn't functioning & effects the brain atleast temporarily.

She is calmer now & doing better, but still recieving med, food, & drink through IV.

Please continue prayers, they are helping.

UPDATE as of 09-27-10

Cathi MAY still need a new liver, but there have been some improvements/changes & it COULD, God willing, regenerate.

She was at top of list but now is near the bottom.

She was in ICU, stepped down 1 level, to equivalent of CCU - with better, less restrictive, hours for Nick - her husband, to see her -
NOW, she MAY be able to go home today.
This does NOT mean she is well, but has improved a good bit.

Cathi's ammonia level is way down - this is produced when liver isn't functioning & effects the brain atleast temporarily.

She is calmer now & doing better, but still recieving some med, food, & drink through a feeding tube as she can only keep down small amounts right now.

Please continue prayers for them both physically & spiritually -
they are helping.

UPDATE as of 10-7-10

Cathi continues to improve, praise God!

Cathi is calmer now at home, eating some solid foods & doing better. The feeding tube in her has been taken out, praise God.

Nick, her husband, has taken off work since shortly after Cathi was put in the hospital, please pray he is able to keep his job & still take care of her &/or be divinely provided for during this time.

Please continue prayers for both Nick & Cathi physically & spiritually & financially - they are helping.
