But Rehoboam rejected the advice of the older men and instead asked the opinion of the young men who had grown up with him and were now his advisers. 1 Kings 12:8 NLT

King Solomon’s wisdom was a gift from God. Genetics had nothing to do with it, as his son Rehoboam soon found out after his father’s death. Rehoboam’s first official act as king? Rejecting wise counsel!

Older is not always better. Young people are not necessarily more foolish. Yet Rehoboam listened to foolish counsel—mostly out of pride and selfishness.

It’s not enough to attempt to avoid foolish counsel if you don’t know what it is.

What does foolish counsel look like?

How does wise advice sound?

Rehoboam could have asked these questions before he made a decision that cost him the greater portion of his kingdom. And he could have found the answers in the many wise proverbs his father had penned for him many years before.

Like his idolatrous, foolish father in old age, Rehoboam had no heart for the Lord God. And without the fear of God, there is no beginning to wisdom. All that’s left is a mushy mind heeding foolish counsel and reaping terrible consequences.

Prayer: Lord, may I listen only to those who encourage me to heed Your Word.

To me it so Strange how all of this Great leaders in the Old Testament and how their sons turn out.:pensive:and and it is painful, and they had these fathers as an example. but then again what did GOD say to them, if you marry these women what these women will do your sons and what they will make you do.

Look what "Rueben" did to Jacob , and "Levi" "Simeon" might be justifiable, but "Rueben"
Look at Samuel sons.:pensive:
Then look what "Absalom" did to King David, now that hurt me from here.
Then Eli's Sons
and Gideon son.:(
How could those boys, sleep with their fathers wives in the open. and the people, knew what they were doing, and their Fathers still love them. and how theirs wives deceive them.:pensive:

To be A Prophet or A minster of God is no joke or a pleasure , it consists of a lot of pain and suffering you must endure. I Wish that calling on no man. it has a "JOY " that is unspeakable coming from the "LORD" and when that "JOY" comes it frightens you, because some great pain is coming ahead and you know it, by experience :sob: it is JOY unspeakable but you are Not happy! you be wondering whats over that hill!:sob:

And I do not want to talk about those other boys or wives of those great leaders in the Old Testament, it makes me Depress to thing about what the Most powerful men that God endowed how their children and wives did them. But I do know it helps them have an understand how God felt about Israel and that is how they could write and Prophesies in such of power and anointing, without suffering their cannot be a messenger of GOD, His messenger flows through suffering and the more the one suffers the greater the Anointing on the Massager

Jonah said: I ain't going, those are some evil people down there. God said: Yes you is:sob: Jonah says: I ain't going. God said: "Watch this Micheal" Jonah said: Ok I am Going !:sob: after that weed in that fish, wrap around His Neck, it was not the fish, it was the weeds down in The Fish!

Jonah 2
5The waters surrounded me, even to my soul;
The deep closed around me;
Weeds were wrapped around my head.:eyes:

For GOD, Commanded The weeds to wrap around his neck,:sob:

You ought to be laughing, he did!

If God commands you to go to Nineveh you going!:sob:
