Turning aside for another Gospel.

The question here is can true believers be "turned aside" to follow another belief.
I'm not talking about people who were never saved in the first place.
I'm not talking about people who already follow a false doctrine, false Christ, or false prophet.

I'm talking about people who are Christians, who have received Jesus.
Some people will say this is like another OSAS debate. I'm not asking if you lose your salvation, merely
if "true believers" can start following another belief?

These are the verses that cause me to ask.

Acts 1:25 to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place."
1 Tim 5:15 for some have already turned aside to follow Satan.
Matt 24:10 "At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.
Mark 4:17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.
1 Tim 4:1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
Gal 1:6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;

It says here that they will find others that believe as they do and accumulate (gather up) teachers that believe the same as they do. It's easy to find many people who believe a certain way.

2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
2 Tim 4:4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

It may be that Hymenaeus and Alexander turned back to the faith later, we don't know. But it seems for a while they were "shipwrecked in regard to their faith".
1 Tim 1:19 keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.
1 Tim 1:20 Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme

Is belief in the wrong thing(s) the same as non-belief? If not, why not?

Some say the two verses below mean we can't be lead astray, but read them again, does it say they can be, or they can't be?

Mark 13:22 for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
Mat 24:24 "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

Sometimes a false doctrine is an obvious thing, but other times I wonder if it's less obvious to some.

I found a written letter from a friend of mine he wrote to me about 14 years ago.
At the time he had been living with a woman for a couple of years and he was worried that God was going to strike him down or curse him.
I remember reassuring him that God loved him and would forgive him if he repented.
I ran into him a few months ago, he is still living with the same woman (going on 17 years now) and I asked him about it.
He told me he doesn't really consider it sin anymore. God is OK with it.

1 Tim 4:2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,
1 Tim 4:3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.

I wonder if we live in some sins long enough, our consciences just get "seared over" and we no longer feel any guilt?

I'm not saying God can't or won't try to turn us back.
Mat 18:12 "What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?

2 Cor 11:3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
Rev 2:20 'But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

My answer would be yes you can sin until your conscious is corrupted fatally . I know personally a Pastors daughter who fell totally into alcohol, excusing it away with scripture. She as well fell into sex again excusing it away. Until she was nearing her 40th birthday then a real traumatic experience caused her to turn back to the Lord and the Church. She was set afire by her jealous lover with gasoline all over her body, face and all. She was kept alive only by prayer and a miracle of God. After some friendly advice she turned back to the Lord.
This was her statement to me. Is God trying to tell me something? Yes! I replied; the devil almost got you; now repent with all your heart and turn back to God and obey Him and the word. She had lost her conscience as well as my own daughter, which is finally regaining it.
My daughter had never left church but fell into sex and alchol as well. Thank God they both are right with God now ,I hope.

2 Cor 3:13 and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away.

which also might be looked at later
referring to how spiritual operations manifested and were gifted amongst the ones who had received the greatest Gift
found only in Christ

can be persuaded

we see this all the time
some may be fully persuaded
or doctrinally persuaded about one thing
while another is not
yet both would die for the Lord in belief of His Salvation
having been sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise - Ephesians 1:13 and Galatians 3:14

a born again Christian
may turn aside for another Gospel

and the consequences of doing so we can be sure of
as we read in the verses of the title to this post both before and after
both of mercy or a cutting off

where we also see the blending of the Old and New
Old being for our advantage

to keep the Gospel of Christ Jesus as it has been delivered unto us and turn not aside
that we may rejoice at His coming
