No Magic number brother........... 3 1/2 years or seven years depending on who you ask.

I am not going through all the scriptures where those number are given.

3 1/2 years many speculate would not be long enough for the Antichrist to set up, they start the tribulation as a seven year period, 3 1/2 years into the Tribulation the Antichrist sits in Israel calling himself God.

After that many refer to the last 3 1/2 years as the Great Tribulation.

Either way it's a definite defined period God gave to accomplish what He intends to do, and Jesus said those days are shortened, meaning they have a specific time frame.

All I can do is prove two cases of seven years or 3 1/2 years but seven is the start of something and completion of it.

Jesus Is Lord.

and theres absolutely no way to prove that 3 1/2 years or any other number is correct.

these kinda things are usually speculation that cannot be proven.

Hello all.

When it comes to end times, i am undecided.

If you would be so kind, I have a question.

How do the following verses affect the pre, mid, post trib views.

"A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: 'If ANYONE worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name. This calls for patient endurance on the part of THE SAINTS who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus' "
(Rev. 14:9-12)

David Since its not clear at all just when things are going to happen, wouldn't it be wise to put them aside and concentrate on getting to know GOD instead. And living as though Jesus were coming ten minutes from now?
All the time we spend on speculation is 'Getting to know HIM' time wasted.
The more we get to know HIM the more we love HIM and the more we get to be like HIM. That is, after all, why we're on this rock. We are here to get to know HIM and the more we know HIM the more we will glorify HIM.

Not sure.

I regard all scripture as inspired, hence I am to read all scripture.

When I am not sure how to understand a particular passage, I ask.

Sometimes the Holy Spirit opens my eyes, other times He may speak thru others.

I have spent less time on eschatology than any other aspect of Christianity. So I am less sure about it.

What I have read on some posts in eschatology is simply amazing.

Thanks for the advice El Hombre viejo but, I think this is one area that I may need to spend more time on.

Our God is invisible, Credendo vides?
