When we spend time praying, seeking God, and dwelling in His presence; we are in the secret place. John 15:7- If you abide in Me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. We have to know God is the source of our help in every situation. We need to rely on God and trust Him completely. The things we trust in today will fail us tomorrow. People will fail us. People who regularly get upset over small things suffer in many ways.
We are not to be swayed by the pressure of men to conform or by the persecutions of men. If we trust in God to work things out, we'll navigate the dips of life with barely a blip. We will always have things in the flesh to deal with. But, when we mess up; we are quick to repent and make it right with God again. We do not believe in ourselves, but we are to believe in Jesus in us. We need God-confidence, not self-confidence. We need to strive for success, not perfection. Making mistakes and failing are an important part of our development. Ecclesiastes 9:10-Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
The only truly successful person in God's eyes is the individual who knows he is nothing in himself, but everything in Christ. Galatians 2:20-I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God Who loved me and gave Himself for me.
God, help us to rely on You and trust You completely. May we communicate with You daily as Your presence keeps us calm and assured, fearing no evil. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
