eace to All -This is my first posting I just want to say that when, Jesus spoke its was from hidden knowledge he spoke the literal spirit being of God, so it is his words alone that matter not the old testament when he said: it is finished he meant the completion of the old testament and he fulfilled it alone . The new Testament are the new commandments by grace(meaning the shed blood of jesus) that were given in the hope, that God would dwell and be welcome in the hearts of people not a stone temple(thats why the vale was torn in two). My issue today is the craziness of so many wrong veiw points of our lords second coming Jesus said :as in the days of Noah so shall it be when the coming of man comes ) . The book of Enoch tells very well what those days were like and why the flood had to happen the fallens angels (the sons of God) were corrupting the humans and teaching them secrets they should not have known and those beings will be released in the last days to cause the same destruction again. One more point I want to make Jesus had to die on that cross to attone for our sins but he did die even though he asked his father to: let this cup pass from me . Are we better than him to think that God will spare us from death ? There is hope death is the twinkling of an eye ( a blip without pain ) I know I have died !!!!!!!!!!! And Please take it from someone who made it to that side ,IT IS REAL ! so don`t bet your life on it bet your heart on it .

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the the are come.
Romans 15:4
For whatsoever things were written afroetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
The Old Testament gives us comfort and hope.
Remember Jesus' Words in Matthew 22:37-40; were He stated that all the Law and the Prophets hang on the two commandments to Love God and your neighbour (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Leviticus 19:18). So I would agree that the ritual law of the Old Testament is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. But the law of love and faith that is revealed in the Old Testament is still to be followed.
Roman 13:8-10
8) Owe no man any thing but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9) For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therfore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Jesus also told the Jewish people the Tanakh (Old Testament) testify of Him.
John 5:39
Search the scripture; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
When Paul wrote to Timothy the Scriptures were the Old Testament.
II Timothy 3:15
And that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
So I truely believe that the Old Testament is still very valid to Christian believers.

I used to think that as well however, please do not take the OT as no longer valid, because ALL of God's word is truly valid. Also, Jesus reiterated the necessity of keeping the commandments; not for salvation (which is by faith through grace & mercy), but to show Jesus we love Him.
One should not get wrapped up in trying to fulfill the Law of Moses, because only one person could do that perfectly. God knows we're imperfect and sent Jesus to obey them since we couldn't, but if we want to show Jesus we love Him, we need to keep His commandments (John 14:15). Still (James 2:10), if we break one commandment, we break them all...even today. Therefore, we have to come to God for forgiveness. Again, to show Jesus our love for Him, we must try to keep them (1 John 5:3).
Also, the OT has plenty of things anyone of us can relate to as to crisis' or happenings we are going through. Please do not think the OT has no relevance today, because it has plenty of relevance this day.
