trouble to keep your focus on Jesus?

Hallelujah Glory to GOD!

Do you find at times you have great trouble to get your focus on Jesus? As if you have to go through a fog or a spiritual swamp to get to Jesus?

Now this can have many reasons: un-confessed sin, unforgiveness towards others, but have you considered the impact that the world has on us?

Amen, now the world is under the power of satan that wicked devil it is all like a disco, many things are happening much world affairs, loud music, many troubles and they are all distractions to take your mind of of Christ Jesus!

the devil says: "listen it's ok for you to watch that premiere movie, that block buster, that cartoon or listen to that nice song on the radio, it is ok for you to go and play video games or watch the football games on sunday."

But The Bible says:

James 4
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

now we are pilgrims and just passing through here on this earth, we are in this world (passing through) temporarily but we are not of this world amen.

We are citizens of Heaven!

And what we put our eyes upon (seeing) our ears to hear to (hearing) is of the world the worldy things this will cause that our relationship with God will be influenced negatively.

If we focus on good things and not upon the world but focus on Heavenly things where Jesus Christ is it get's easier to keep our focus on Jesus amen.

1 Corinthians 15
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

The world and the earth is corrupted, and we are not of this world so let us focus on Heavenly things more and leave the participating in the worlds affairs, as thinking on earthly things won't help you one bit.

Colossians 3:
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Does a citizen of Heaven feel itself at home in a foreign place?

1 Peter 2
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Are you a citizen of Heaven walking as a stranger and pilgrim passing through this world? Or are you a citizen of Heaven with a double passport and double identity?

Matthew 6
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Let our focus be on Heavenly things amen All this world is a big distraction, it is designed that way to keep your mind of of Christ Jesus.

That is why some of us have trouble to get our focus more placed centered upon Jesus Christ, we have to pass through and keep walking and not keep standing watching at all the distraction that this world has to offer glitter and movie, games, music and all those nice things that pertain to the flesh that the world has to offer. We all know that the end of this world's way is death.

So why focus on the passing things of this fallen and dying world, if you are Heaven bound?

This is a good exhortation,it brings to mind Jesus's friends Mary and Martha.
To the world Mary was being lazy and irresponsible by sitting at the feet of Jesus.
While Martha was concerned about her reputation as a perfect host.

Distractions whether good(family,home,work) or bad can sometimes hinder personal growth.
However they are also where the rubber meets the road.
It's where we get to gauge how much of Jesus we actually retained by how we react to situations and input that the world throws at us.
