TROUBLE BREWING IN ISRAEL WITH NEW EXTREMIST ISRAELI GOVERNMENT

‘Al-Aqsa Flood’: The surprise is that some are surprised
article by - Alastair Crooke - Director of Conflicts Forum; Former Senior British Diplomat; Author.

The cry for Al-Aqsa resonated across the entire Islamic sphere. Why did the West not get it?
Al-Aqsa Flood is held to be "Israel’s" greatest ‘intelligence failure’.
Maybe so, but if Israeli and American intelligence did not see the attack coming, it is because of their Western mechanical, literal way of thinking.
If I, and probably thousands of 'Al Mayadeen' readers, broadly knew that this was in the works (but not of course, of its operational details), why was "Israel" blind to it?

Palestinians rallied to the call to safeguard the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It was not just Hamas; it was West Bank Palestinians and (for the first time, too, 1948 Palestinians who have Israeli passports) who all rose up to protect Al-Aqsa.
Just to be clear, the rallying cry was not for Hamas; it was not for Palestinian nationalism. It was for Al-Aqsa -- an icon that goes to the heart of what it is to be Muslim (Sunni or Shi’a).
It was a cry that resonated across the entire Islamic sphere.

Did the West not get it? Apparently not. It was right under their nose, but super high-tech Intel doesn’t do symbolic meaning.

So, what has this to do with Al-Aqsa Flood?
Well, the political right in Netanyahu’s government has two long-standing commitments.
One is to rebuild the Jewish Temple on ‘Temple Mount’ (Haram al-Shariff).
Just to be clear, that would entail demolishing Al-Aqsa.

The second overriding commitment is to the founding of "Israel", on the "Land of Israel".
And again, to be clear, this (in their view) would entail clearing out Palestinians from the West Bank.
Indeed, the settlers have been cleansing Palestinians from swaths of the West Bank over the past year (notably between Ramallah and Jericho).

On Thursday morning (two days preceding Al-Aqsa Flood), more than 800 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, under the full protection of Israeli forces.
The drumbeat of such provocations is rising.
This is nothing new. The First Intifada was triggered by (then) Prime Minister Sharon making a provocative visit into the mosque.
I was a part of Senator George Mitchell’s Presidential Committee investigating that incident.
Even then, it was clear that Sharon intended the visit to fuel the fire of Religious nationalism.
At that time, the Temple Mount Movement was a minnow; today it has ministers in Cabinet and in key security positions -- and has promised its followers to build the ‘Third Temple’.

So which is worse, really? The so-called extremist government of Israel, or the ongoing extremist governments of all of the Arab Nations around Israel?

What does it mean to be extremist? Is it self-preservation, or is it complete annihilation of a whole group of people?

Seems to me that the annihilation of a whole group of people, just for believing the way they do, is more of an extreme set of ideas than anything Israel has come up with. Yet it is a very concept of many Arab Nations

The only real issue here is that many leaders of Israel want to rebuild the temple on the land that is under their control and reclaim the west bank as soley theirs. They will no doubt reclaim gaza as their own after hamas has shown that it has no desire at all for peace with Israel. Israel is NOT interested in killing off all nearby muslims, and would welcome them in THIER lands if they desired peace. That is not good enough for hamas or the terrorists on the north of Israel, who are both just proxy waring with Israel on behalf of Iran. Iran is too much of a coward to attack Israel directly, so it uses the proxy wars against Israel, and their leadership also only wants all jews dead or gone at least from all of Israel. They not only provide lots of weapons to these terrorist, but they promote as much as possible the hatred of the jews through their direct agents in those areas promoting said hatred.

So to recap, rebuilding of the temple would not necessarily entail the destruction of the main mosque there, but probably the lesser one and build the temple so that the greater mosque is in the outer court or even beyond it. That also is not enough for muslims. They want Israel gone as a nation, and would persecute the jews internationally as well given the chances. Even jews showing up to see the greater mosque makes muslims want to kill them all the more. And the nation of Israel SHALL regain all of her lands one day under the Lord whether the muslims like it or not. Muslims have lots of Holy Places, the mosque on temple mount is not even the greater one. Jews have no special Holy place for their faith except the temple mount and its not really theirs wholly yet because of muslim ideals. EVEN THOUGH THEY CONTROL THE LAND.

God destroyed the Temple in 70ad because Jesus is the High Priest now. Jews tried to rebuild in around 350ad under Julian the Apostate., but God would not let them. This is Sozomen's account from his book The History of Sozomen . He was a historian during the rule of Julian the Apostate.

When they had removed the ruins of the former building, they dug up the ground and cleared away its foundation; it is said that on the following day when they were about to lay the first foundation, a great earthquake occurred, and by the violent agitation of the earth, stones were thrown up from the depths, by which those of the Jews who were engaged in the work were wounded, as likewise those who were merely looking on. The houses and public porticos, near the site of the temple, in which they had diverted themselves, were suddenly thrown down; many were caught thereby, some perished immediately, others were found half dead and mutilated of hands or legs, others were injured in other parts of the body. When God caused the earthquake to cease, the workmen who survived again returned to their task, partly because such was the edict of the emperor, and partly because they were themselves interested in the undertaking. Men often, in endeavoring to gratify their own passions, seek what is injurious to them, reject what would be truly advantageous, and are deluded by the idea that nothing is really useful except what is agreeable to them. When once led astray by this error, they are no longer able to act in a manner conducive to their own interests, or to take warning by the calamities which are visited upon them.

The
Jews, I believe, were just in this state; for, instead of regarding this unexpected earthquake as a manifest indication that God was opposed to the re-erection of their temple, they proceeded to recommence the work. But all parties relate, that they had scarcely returned to the undertaking, when fire burst suddenly from the foundations of the temple, and consumed several of the workmen.

This fact is fearlessly stated, and believed by all; the only discrepancy in the narrative is that some maintain that flame burst from the interior of the temple, as the workmen were striving to force an entrance, while others say that the fire proceeded directly from the earth. In whichever way the phenomenon might have occurred, it is equally wonderful. A more tangible and still more extraordinary prodigy ensued; suddenly the sign of the cross
appeared spontaneously on the garments of the persons engaged in the undertaking. These crosses were disposed like stars, and appeared the work of art. Many were hence led to confess that Christ is God, and that the rebuilding of the temple was not pleasing to Him; others presented themselves in the church, were initiated, and besought Christ, with hymns and supplications, to pardon their transgression. If any one does not feel disposed to believe my narrative, let him go and be convinced by those who heard the facts I have related from the eyewitnesses of them, for they are still alive. Let him inquire, also, of the Jews and pagans who left the work in an incomplete state, or who, to speak more accurately, were able to commence it.

Zechariah 12:1 The oracle of the word of the LORD concerning Israel: Thus declares the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him:
2 “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah.
3 On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it.

Zechariah 12:8 On that day the LORD will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David
shall be like God, like the angel of the LORD, going before them.
9 And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced,
they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

Zechariah 13:8 In the whole land, declares the LORD, two thirds shall be cut off and perish, and one third shall be left alive.
9 And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say,
‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’”

Zechariah 14:1 Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped.
Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.
4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west
by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.

Israel according to 1john are Antichrists. So are the other factions. God is not a respecter of persons.
God did not bring the Jews back to Israel. When he does there will be peace.
People keep claiming God is with Israel. No more so than he is with Iran.

There is good reason why God separated the northern kingdom of Israel from the temple worship southern kingdom of Judah.
For salvation would go out to the nations - the gentiles - and a new Israel would come into being - often referred to scripturally as Ephraim or Joseph.
The Jews of today that have come home constitute the reestablishment of Judah.
But when Jesus sets up his throne on Mount Zion and is responsible for the government of his kingdom on Earth - Israel and Judah shall be united again and become one nation.

Ezekiel 37:16 “Son of man, take a stick and write on it, ‘For Judah, and the people of Israel associated with him’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim)
and all the house of Israel associated with him.’
17 And join them one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
37:20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand before their eyes,
21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all around,
and bring them to their own land.
22 And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations,
and no longer divided into two kingdoms.

Are we ready for what is to come ??

Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of demons working marvels--spirits that go out to control the kings of the whole earth, to assemble them for the battle which is to take place
on the great day of God, the Ruler of all.
15 ("I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the man who keeps awake and guards his raiment for fear he walk about ill-clad, and his uncomeliness become manifest.")
16 And assemble them they did at the place called in Hebrew 'Har-Magedon.'

Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Amen
but are people, even Christians, ready for this terrible worldwide calamity?
As for those who have swallowed the lie of a pre-tribulation rapture, wow what a disappointment for them.

Matthew 24:37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,
39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Rather, those that believe in Pre-trib wont worry about it. Even those who realize its a warmy fuzzy lie, wont worry too much, because the Lord is for us. But its good to be aware and pray and to warn others, as a watchman on the wall.

You are welcome,
Jesus condemned the temple worship and Sanhedrin for their unbelief and in a preview; the destruction of the temple and Mosaic law. Here:

Mark 11:12-14 - Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.”

Jesus cursed Israel at this point, and no temple, with sacrifices will be allowed to be built until the tribulation temple

Recently in the news, some Israeli temple artifacts were going to be returned to Israel from Italy. Not sure if it was the Italian govt or the vatican, cant remember. Sort of reminds me of temple artifacts heading back to Israel from Babylon.
