8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
The LORD raises those who are bowed down;
The LORD loves the righteous. Psalms 146:8
In our society today we are told to hold on to what is true in our hearts, meaning my truth is for me, it's the elements of this world hand picked and customized by me to fit me to make me feel good. Calling it " my truth ." Just a cheap repackaged philosophy of Aleister Crowley "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. "
As the world hold on to it's own true wills their blindfolds are useless because they walk in the dark. Even christians in the light wear blindfolds in the form of untested doctrines, rituals and traditions.
Today let us keep those who are blind in our prayers. Standing in faith believing he will open their eyes. Let us examine our own lives and beliefs by comparing it with God's word, making sure we ourselves are not blind.
The LORD raises those who are bowed down.
How many of us still carry our past with us ? Or currently facing prosecution ? In your brokenness He will raise you. No more shame of past sins. Strip the pride off and be humble and let God raise you.
The LORD loves the righteous
Today let us be faithful to his word, let the fruits of the spirit be seen in our lives, let us forgive and love our neighbors. More of him and less of us. Let us live righteously and without blame.
